What happened in Rocklin?
Futurism correspondent Joe Wilkins reported on April 15, 2025, that a line of lifted, gas-powered trucks and SUVs blocked the lane leading to the Rocklin Tesla dealership the previous day. The report said the lineup included more than 20 non-electric vehicles. It did not identify verified makes or models or provide fuel-consumption or emissions measurements. Read the Futurism report.
The event took place alongside picketing associated with Tesla Takedown demonstrations. Futurism described picketers holding signs on the opposite side of the road and characterized the picket line as calm. Its account also described people gathered near the road with awnings and chairs.
What does the available evidence show?
Futurism attributed its visual evidence to a video posted on X by an account called “American AF.” The report described trucks and SUVs, some displaying MAGA and American flags. It reproduced the post’s text as: “MAGA patriots DEFEND a Tesla dealership from liberal terrorlsts [sic].” The account operator’s verified name or role was not provided.

The vehicle lineup and flags are details reported from the video; the post’s wording is a claim about the convoy’s purpose, not independent confirmation of the participants’ motives. The report did not include statements from named convoy participants, the dealership, protest organizers, law enforcement, or public officials.

The report says the lane leading to the dealership was blocked, but it does not establish how long the obstruction lasted, whether another entrance was available, whether customers were turned away, or whether dealership operations were disrupted. “Blocked” describes the reported lane; the practical consequences for access are not established by the available account.
