Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, launched in May 2026, assigns four official roles to much—but not all—of its vehicle-brand portfolio: global, regional, specialty and pure luxury. Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and FIAT are the global brands; five others are regional; DS and Lancia have specialty roles; and Maserati is positioned as pure luxury. Stellantis lists 14 vehicle brands overall, but its strategy does not give every one a distinct mission.
How Stellantis divides its brands
The framework is a management plan, not a ranking of brand quality or a measure of current sales. Stellantis says the roles are intended to sharpen differentiation, direct investment and make more use of shared assets while addressing regional needs. Its current brand roster is on the Stellantis brands page; the role assignments below come from its FaSTLAne 2030 strategy.

| Stellantis category | Brands assigned | Stated role |
|---|---|---|
| Global | Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, FIAT | Scale across regions and serve as natural first-launchers for new global assets. |
| Regional | Chrysler, Dodge, Citroën, Opel, Alfa Romeo | Focus on core markets while using shared global assets and clearer differentiation. |
| Specialty | DS, Lancia | Historic brands prominent in France and Italy; managed respectively by Citroën and FIAT. |
| Pure luxury | Maserati | Strengthen its future as a pure luxury brand. |
These labels describe Stellantis’ intended portfolio structure. The strategy passage does not set precise geographic borders for each regional brand or establish that the structure has already reduced overlap or improved results.
What the global role means
Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and FIAT
Stellantis identifies these four as its global brands, citing their scale and profit potential. Their reach makes them the company’s “natural first-launchers” for new global assets: in practical terms, they are positioned to introduce shared technologies, platforms or other company-wide capabilities across markets before those assets spread elsewhere in the portfolio.

The strategy also concentrates planned investment. Stellantis says approximately 60% of total investment will support more than 60 new vehicles and 50 significant refreshes across brands and powertrain types. It separately says 70% of brand and product investment will go to the four global brands and Pro One, its commercial-vehicle business. These are company plan figures, not reported outcomes; the 70% allocation includes Pro One and does not apply only to the four brands.
What the regional role means
Chrysler, Dodge, Citroën, Opel and Alfa Romeo
Stellantis describes these five as strong in their respective markets and says they will focus on core markets while benefiting from global assets and stronger differentiation. This points to regional tailoring rather than an identical worldwide footprint for every marque. The strategy does not provide a complete country-by-country map defining each brand’s core market, so the category should not be read as a precise boundary on where any one brand can sell vehicles.
What specialty and pure luxury mean
DS and Lancia: specialty brands
Stellantis calls DS and Lancia specialty brands, associating DS with France and Lancia with Italy. The plan says Citroën manages DS and FIAT manages Lancia. That describes an organizational relationship in the strategy; it does not mean the marques are renamed or cease to be separate brands.
Maserati: pure luxury
The strategy says Stellantis intends to strengthen Maserati’s future as a pure luxury brand and names two new E-segment vehicles. The cited strategy page says a more detailed roadmap is expected by December 2026; it does not provide that roadmap’s product details in the passage establishing the role.

Which portfolio names do not get a distinct role?
Stellantis’ portfolio page lists 14 vehicle brands: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, FIAT, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram and Vauxhall. The FaSTLAne summary does not assign Abarth or Vauxhall an individual role in its four-group framework. It would be inaccurate to infer a new mission for either from that omission.
The same roster also includes Free2move and Leasys, which Stellantis identifies as mobility brands rather than vehicle brands. Their presence expands the company’s portfolio beyond automakers, but the cited strategy summary does not give them a place in the vehicle-brand categories.
How this differs from Stellantis’ 2022 brand map
A 2022 AGM presentation used a different grouping: Maserati as luxury; Alfa Romeo, DS and Lancia as premium; Jeep as global sport utility; Dodge, Ram and Chrysler as American-rooted; and Peugeot, Opel, Vauxhall, Fiat, Abarth and Citroën as European-rooted. That is useful historical context, not a second set of current labels to combine with FaSTLAne. In the 2026 framework, for example, FIAT is one of four global brands, while DS and Lancia are specialty brands.
What Stellantis says the portfolio should cover
At its 2024 Investor Day, Stellantis described the portfolio as covering the pricing spectrum, serving local-hero markets and niches such as off-road and American muscle, and keeping brand overlap to a minimum while maintaining efficient coverage. Those are the company’s stated aims, not independent evidence that overlap is already minimal or that performance targets have been met. Introducing the FaSTLAne plan, CEO Antonio Filosa said, “We have great people, global scale, unmatched brands, deep regional roots and strong dealer partnerships.” That is his characterization of the company and its strategy, not an external assessment.
