The 2025 United States Grand Prix was held at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, October 19, 2025. It is no longer available as a live event, but U.S. viewers can still look for the race replay, highlights, and qualifying coverage through the services that carried Formula 1 during the 2025 season.
For the original live broadcast, the main U.S. options were ESPN and the ESPN app, while F1 TV Pro offered an alternative stream with onboard cameras, team radio, timing data, and additional feeds.

Where to watch the 2025 US Grand Prix in the U.S.
ESPN held the U.S. Formula 1 broadcast rights for the 2025 season. The United States Grand Prix was therefore shown through the ESPN television network, with streaming available in the ESPN app for viewers who had an eligible TV-provider login.
| Option | What it provided | What you needed |
|---|---|---|
| ESPN | Live Formula 1 coverage, including the Grand Prix and selected sessions | A TV package carrying ESPN |
| ESPN app | Live stream and on-demand coverage | An eligible TV-provider login; availability depended on the package |
| F1 TV Pro | Live race coverage, onboard cameras, team radio, live timing, and alternate feeds | An active F1 TV Pro subscription in the United States |
| Live-TV streaming services | Access to ESPN without a traditional cable box | A subscription to a service carrying ESPN, such as YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV’s ESPN-inclusive plan, Fubo, or DIRECTV STREAM |
The exact channel and stream availability could vary by session and provider. Checking the ESPN schedule or the provider’s channel guide was the safest way to confirm where a particular practice, Sprint session, qualifying session, or race was airing.

2025 United States Grand Prix schedule
Circuit of The Americas hosted a Sprint weekend, so the timetable was different from a standard Formula 1 weekend. Times below are in Central Time, the local time in Austin.
| Session | Date | Approximate local start |
|---|---|---|
| Practice | Friday, October 17 | 11:30 a.m. |
| Sprint qualifying | Friday, October 17 | 3:30 p.m. |
| Sprint | Saturday, October 18 | 12:00 p.m. |
| Grand Prix qualifying | Saturday, October 18 | 4:00 p.m. |
| United States Grand Prix | Sunday, October 19 | 2:00 p.m. |
Race-weekend schedules can be adjusted for television programming, support races, weather, or other operational reasons. The official Formula 1 schedule and the ESPN listing should take priority over an older timetable.
How to stream the race with ESPN
- Install the ESPN app on your smart TV, phone, tablet, streaming player, or game console, or open ESPN.com in a browser.
- Choose Log In and authenticate with a TV provider that includes ESPN.
- Open the Formula 1 section or search for “United States Grand Prix.”
- Select the live event when it is available, or choose the replay from the on-demand listing.
An ESPN+ subscription by itself was not necessarily a substitute for an ESPN television subscription. ESPN’s streaming rights and channel access were determined by the package and the viewer’s provider, so buying ESPN+ alone did not guarantee access to every live Formula 1 session.
How F1 TV Pro compared with ESPN
F1 TV Pro was the more data-focused option for viewers who wanted more than the conventional television broadcast. Depending on the session and the subscription’s availability, its features included:

To use it, subscribers opened the F1 TV website or app, signed in, selected the 2025 United States Grand Prix, and chose the race, qualifying, Sprint, or another available session. F1 TV Pro availability is country-specific; a subscription purchased outside the United States did not automatically provide the same access while traveling.
How to watch the 2025 race now
Because the 2025 United States Grand Prix has already taken place, there is no legitimate live stream of the race itself. Look for these options instead:
- ESPN on demand: Sign in through the ESPN app or ESPN.com and search for the event. Whether the replay remains available depends on the current rights window and your provider.
- F1 TV: Search the archive for the 2025 United States Grand Prix. An active subscription may be required for the full race replay.
- Official Formula 1 video: Formula 1’s website and YouTube channel may carry highlights, post-race analysis, interviews, or a race recap even when a complete replay is unavailable.
- TV-provider DVR: If you recorded the broadcast through a cable, satellite, or live-TV streaming service, the recording may remain in your library subject to that service’s storage rules.
Be cautious with websites advertising a free “official” full-race stream. Unlicensed streams commonly redirect through aggressive advertising, request unnecessary browser permissions, or carry malware. They can also disappear during the broadcast.

Best setup for watching an F1 Sprint weekend
If you were planning to watch the event live, the simplest setup was a live-TV service with ESPN for the conventional broadcast. F1 TV Pro was better suited to fans who wanted to follow several cars, compare telemetry, or listen to team radio.

Easily discover what to watch from hundreds of thousands of movies and TV episodes (subscription fees may apply), including free, ad-supported content.
- Getting set up is easy – Plug in and connect to Wi-Fi for smooth streaming.
For a television setup, test the app before the first session rather than waiting for the race start. Sign in in advance, update the app, confirm that ESPN appears in the channel guide, and check that your internet connection can sustain live HD video. A wired connection or 5-GHz Wi-Fi can reduce buffering when several people are using the same network.
For mobile viewing, download the app before leaving Wi-Fi and sign in beforehand. Live video can use several gigabytes over a full race weekend, so cellular viewers should check their data allowance.
Common streaming problems
ESPN says the event is not included
Your provider login may not include the ESPN channel, or you may be using an ESPN+ account without the required television access. Check the channel lineup and sign in with the credentials for the package that carries ESPN.

The stream is behind the television broadcast
Internet streams normally have a delay of several seconds or more. Avoid social media and live timing if spoilers are a concern, and use the same platform for both the main feed and any companion data.
The picture keeps buffering
Close other high-bandwidth apps, move closer to the router, switch from cellular to Wi-Fi where possible, or lower the stream quality. Restarting the app can also refresh an expired playback session.

Could I watch the 2025 US Grand Prix with F1 TV Pro?
F1 TV Pro was a U.S. streaming option during the 2025 season and offered the race plus additional features such as onboard cameras, team radio, and live timing. Archive access depends on the current subscription and availability.
Did ESPN+ alone include every 2025 Formula 1 race?
Not necessarily. ESPN+ access and ESPN television-channel access were separate parts of many packages. Confirm that your subscription includes the ESPN channel or the specific live event before relying on it.
The Bottom Line
The 2025 United States Grand Prix was carried in the U.S. by ESPN, with streaming through the ESPN app for eligible subscribers and an alternate data-rich presentation through F1 TV Pro. Since the October 19, 2025 race is over, use ESPN’s on-demand library, F1 TV’s archive, a DVR recording, or official Formula 1 highlights rather than searching for a live stream.
