Honda unveiled the EV Fun Concept at EICMA in Milan on November 5, 2024, presenting it as a mid-sized-equivalent electric naked sports motorcycle. Honda claimed a cruising range of more than 100 km and CCS2 quick-charge compatibility, but it did not publish a test cycle, battery capacity, or charging time for the concept. A later Honda announcement described a production model based on it; the detailed figures on Honda’s WN7 product page belong to that separate production motorcycle, not to the original concept.

Honda’s November 5, 2024 EICMA announcement presents the EV Fun Concept as a full-size electric sports motorcycle, distinct from the more urban-focused EV Urban Concept shown alongside it. Honda described the Fun as a naked sports model equivalent to a mid-sized internal-combustion motorcycle and its first electric sports model with a fixed battery.
The concept’s visual pitch is a slim sports-bike package with the familiar proportions of a naked motorcycle. Honda says it drew on its motorcycle technologies for “riding, turning, and stopping,” while highlighting the quiet, vibration-free character of electric power. Those are the company’s design and product claims, not results from an independent road test.
What Honda disclosed about range and charging
Honda’s launch announcement gives one quantified range claim for the EV Fun Concept: “over 100km or more,” which the company characterized as sufficient for city use. The cited passage does not specify a test cycle or establish an independently measured real-world range, so this should be read as a concept-stage claim.

Honda said it developed the battery to balance weight and quick-charging performance. That statement does not supply a charging duration or additional battery specifications.
Did Honda turn the concept into a production motorcycle?
Honda’s announcements document plans for a production model based on the EV Fun Concept, but schedules alone do not confirm retail availability in every market. The November 2024 launch release said commercialization was scheduled in 2025. In an August 6, 2025 award announcement, Honda described a planned mid-sized-equivalent naked sports production model and said it was scheduled before the end of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.

Honda now publishes specifications for the WN7, which it identifies as its first full-size electric motorcycle. The WN7 is relevant production-bike context, but its published specifications should not be retroactively assigned to the 2024 EV Fun Concept.

The WN7 figures come from Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India’s WN7 product page. Honda’s page says the model is not released in India and is available only in select countries, so it does not establish availability in every region.

Why Honda’s concept received a design award
Honda says the EV Fun Concept received a 2025 Red Dot Award in the Design Concept competition. In the award announcement, Toshinobu Minami, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Honda R&D Co., Ltd.’s Design Center, said: “We are deeply honored to receive the award not only in the Design Concept competition, following last year’s recognition for the Honda 0 Series, but also in the Brand & Communication competition of the globally recognized Red Dot Design Award.” The statement concerns the award recognition, rather than the motorcycle’s technical performance. Honda’s EV FUN award page records the award and includes official imagery and video.
