Warivo CRX vs Electric Scooters Around ₹80,000 in India (2026 Buyer’s Guide)

The Warivo CRX sits near ₹80,000 ex-showroom in a dated listing, but conflicting official specifications make battery, range, weight and warranty verification essential.

Short answer: the Warivo CRX is worth considering only after you verify the exact battery, model year, weight and range specification in writing. A dated HT Auto listing puts it at ₹79,999 ex-showroom, between the listed Ampere Reo and the TVS Orbiter and Honda QC1, but the CRX’s current product page and 2024 brochure disagree on several specifications.

Use the CRX’s brochure figure of 90 km per charge as the more conservative reference until a dealer confirms otherwise. The current page’s “up to 120 km” is a claim, not independently verified real-world range. Compare the final on-road price, battery warranty, service access and performance you actually need—not just the ex-showroom number.

Warivo CRX: the buying decision in one view

The CRX is a low-speed electric scooter built around a 1,500 W hub brushless DC motor. Warivo offers it with either lead-acid or lithium battery options, so the quoted price and specifications can change with the battery fitted. The manufacturer lists a portable charger, combined braking system (CBS) with double-drum brakes, telescopic front suspension and twin rear shocks.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For a buyer in India, the most important fact is not a single headline range number. Warivo’s current CRX product page says “up to 120 km,” while its 2024 brochure gives 90 km per charge as the actual solo range. The same two documents disagree on kerb weight and body dimensions. Those differences are large enough to affect handling, carrying capacity, charging logistics and registration paperwork. Ask the seller to identify the battery chemistry, battery capacity, model year and exact variant on the quotation, then attach the current official specification sheet and written warranty.

Who should shortlist it

  • Commuters who mainly ride in town and can charge at home or work.
  • Buyers who value a portable charger, a stated 42-litre boot (brochure figure) and a 150 kg loading-capacity claim from Warivo’s catalog.
  • Riders whose local dealer can show parts availability, service records and a clear battery-replacement policy.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Anyone needing a verified highway-capable top speed or independently tested range.
  • People who cannot obtain a written answer explaining the 80 kg versus 102 kg weight discrepancy.
  • Buyers in a town without dependable Warivo service support or a nearby source for the selected battery.

CRX specifications: two official figures where they conflict

Do not merge the current product page and brochure into one “definitive” specification sheet. The table below keeps each figure tied to the document that publishes it.

Item Current CRX product page (accessed 2026) Warivo brochure (2024) What to verify before paying
Motor 1,500 W hub BLDC 1,500 W rated hub BLDC Whether the quoted power is rated or peak, and which battery variant it applies to
Range Up to 120 km 90 km/charge, actual solo range Test condition, rider load, speed, battery chemistry and usable capacity
Top speed Not stated in the retrieved page content 55 km/h Whether 55 km/h is a tested maximum, speedometer reading or variant-specific figure
Kerb weight 80 kg with battery 102 kg Battery type and whether charger, fluids or accessories are included in the weighing
Dimensions (L × W × H) 2,000 × 720 × 1,210 mm 2,135 × 775 × 1,110 mm Which body revision and trim the dealer is quoting
Battery Lead-acid or lithium options Battery type and capacity not stated in the cited brochure figures Nominal voltage, Ah or kWh, chemistry, removable status and replacement price
Brakes and suspension CBS, double-drum brakes, telescopic front fork and dual rear shocks Not separately stated in the cited figures Hardware on the displayed vehicle and service intervals
Tyres 90/90-12 tubeless front and rear Not stated in the cited figures Load and speed rating, rim specification and approved replacements
Ground clearance Not stated 165 mm Measurement method and whether it changes with load
Seat height Not stated 750 mm Actual unladen seat height and rider reach on the supplied variant
Boot capacity Not stated 42 litres Whether the figure includes space occupied by the battery or charger
Loading capacity Not stated on the product page Not stated in the brochure figures Warivo’s catalog states 150 kg; obtain the limit for your variant in writing
Charging Portable charger Portable charger Charger output, socket requirements, charge time and warranty
Connected features Not stated in the cited product-page figures Not stated Warivo’s catalog lists distance-to-empty, low-battery and battery-fault indicators plus mobile-app connectivity; confirm fitment

The 80 kg and 102 kg weights are not a minor rounding difference, and the two sets of dimensions describe noticeably different scooters. Warivo’s published material does not explain why they differ. Treat the advertised variant as unconfirmed until the seller supplies a current, variant-specific sheet.

Price comparison around ₹80,000

HT Auto’s listing snapshot, accessed in 2026, places the CRX at ₹79,999 ex-showroom. The same table shows the TVS Orbiter at ₹88,250, the Honda QC1 at ₹90,000 and the Ampere Reo at ₹59,900. These are dated listing values, not guaranteed prices for your city and not an independently controlled comparison.

Model Price shown by HT Auto (ex-showroom listing snapshot) How to interpret it
Warivo CRX ₹79,999 Reference price; battery variant, model year and local stock must be confirmed
TVS Orbiter ₹88,250 About ₹8,251 above the listed CRX; equipment and service terms require separate verification
Honda QC1 ₹90,000 About ₹10,001 above the listed CRX; compare speed, battery and support for your city
Ampere Reo ₹59,900 About ₹20,099 below the listed CRX; a lower price does not establish equivalent performance or equipment

Your payable amount can be materially higher after registration, insurance, delivery, accessories, financing charges and any state-level incentive treatment. Before comparing offers, ask every dealer for an itemised on-road quotation dated the same day. Confirm whether the amount is for a lead-acid or lithium version and whether a promotional discount is conditional on finance or exchange.

How the CRX compares with the alternatives

TVS Orbiter and Honda QC1: paying more for a potentially different ownership proposition

The listed Orbiter and QC1 prices are only ₹8,251 and ₹10,001 above the CRX snapshot, respectively. That premium may buy a different dealer network, warranty administration or battery system, but the supplied listings do not provide a common test protocol or complete like-for-like specifications. Do not infer that either scooter has longer range, better acceleration or lower running cost solely from the price gap.

Ask the TVS and Honda dealers the same questions you ask Warivo: battery chemistry and capacity, usable range test conditions, charge time, warranty duration, battery replacement terms, kerb weight, load limit, storage and local service lead time. A nearby workshop that can actually obtain a battery or controller can be worth more than a small difference in purchase price.

Ampere Reo: lower listed price, but not automatically a CRX substitute

The Reo’s ₹59,900 listing is ₹20,099 below the CRX snapshot. That gap can matter if your use is short urban trips and the lower-priced configuration meets your needs. It does not prove that the two scooters share the same speed, battery capacity, brakes, storage or load rating. Check whether the offered Reo is a low-speed configuration, what registration or insurance treatment applies, and whether its warranty is supported in your area.

Other names surfaced by comparison pages

BikeDekho’s comparison page also surfaces the Bajaj Chetak C2501, Ola S1 X, Ola S1 Z, AMO Jaunty-3W, Kinetic Green E Luna and Ampere Reo. The list mixes scooters with different performance, body styles, battery systems and intended uses. Treat it as a starting list, not proof that every model is a direct CRX rival. A three-wheeler or utility-focused model should be evaluated against your route, parking and carrying requirements rather than against the CRX’s sticker price alone.

Range, battery and charging: the questions that determine value

Separate “up to” range from usable solo range

Warivo’s “up to 120 km” statement is a maximum claim without a published test protocol in the cited page. The brochure’s 90 km/charge figure is labelled actual solo range, but the brochure does not provide enough detail to reproduce the test. Hills, passenger weight, tyre pressure, traffic, speed, temperature and battery age all change the result. Use 90 km as the cautious planning reference until the seller documents the conditions behind the number; do not budget daily trips on 120 km as if it were guaranteed.

Lead-acid versus lithium

The CRX is offered with lead-acid or lithium batteries. Chemistry affects mass, charging behaviour, expected service life, replacement cost and the amount of usable energy, yet the cited material does not state capacity for either option. A lithium CRX and a lead-acid CRX should therefore be treated as separate buying propositions. Request these details on the pro-forma invoice:

  • Nominal voltage (the catalog describes the CRX as a 48 V scooter) and battery capacity in Ah or kWh.
  • Whether the capacity is nominal or usable, and the low-state-of-charge reserve.
  • Battery dimensions, removal procedure and indoor charging requirements.
  • Full-charge time with the supplied portable charger and the charger’s output rating.
  • Battery warranty period, cycle or kilometre limits, exclusions and pro-rated replacement terms.
  • Price and lead time for a replacement battery after the warranty expires.

Charging at home

A portable charger is listed, but the published material does not state charge time on the current page. HT Auto’s CRX listing displays five hours; treat that as a third-party listing figure, not a universal result for every battery. Have the dealer demonstrate a complete charge on the exact variant and explain whether the charger can be carried in the boot without reducing usable storage.

Ride hardware and everyday practicality

Wheels, suspension and braking

The current product page lists 90/90-12 tubeless tyres on both wheels, telescopic front suspension, dual rear shocks and CBS with double-drum brakes. Twelve-inch wheels can be a sensible compromise for urban potholes, but tyre size alone does not establish ride comfort or wet braking. Check the tyre’s load and speed rating and inspect the brake adjustment on the display vehicle.

If you need a replacement, the relevant search size is 90/90-12 tubeless scooter tyre. Confirm the rating, rim compatibility and approval for your CRX variant with Warivo or a qualified tyre dealer; do not assume every tyre carrying that size is suitable.

Weight, seat and storage

The brochure lists a 750 mm seat height, 165 mm ground clearance, 42-litre boot and 102 kg kerb weight. The current page instead lists 80 kg with battery and different dimensions. A 22 kg discrepancy changes how easily a shorter rider can reverse the scooter or lift it onto a stand. Sit on the exact vehicle, turn the handlebar at full lock and test a slow-speed U-turn before signing.

Warivo’s catalog claims a 150 kg loading capacity. Clarify whether that means rider plus passenger plus luggage and whether it applies equally to both battery versions. Do not use the 42-litre boot figure as a promise that a particular helmet or charger will fit; place your own equipment inside the actual scooter.

  1. Get matching quotes. Request dated on-road prices that separate ex-showroom, registration, insurance, delivery, accessories, finance charges and discounts.
  2. Identify the battery. Write down chemistry, voltage, capacity, removable status, charger model and charge time.
  3. Normalize range claims. Ask how the number was measured, at what speed, with what load and temperature. Keep manufacturer claims separate from independent tests and owner reports.
  4. Check performance fit. Compare the actual top-speed requirement for your roads. A 55 km/h brochure figure should not be treated as proof of sustained speed under load.
  5. Inspect hardware. Verify brakes, tyre ratings, suspension travel, ground clearance, seat height, kerb weight, load limit and storage on the supplied vehicle.
  6. Audit support. Ask for the nearest authorised workshop, battery and controller availability, roadside assistance terms and typical parts lead times.
  7. Read the warranty. Ensure the invoice names the battery, charger, motor and controller coverage, exclusions, inspection requirements and claim process.
  8. Test your route. Ride with the intended load over the roads you actually use. A short dealer loop cannot validate the brochure range.

Questions to put in writing before booking a CRX

  • Which battery variant and model year does the ₹79,999 reference price represent?
  • Why does the current page show 80 kg with battery while the 2024 brochure shows 102 kg?
  • Why do the dimensions differ between 2,000 × 720 × 1,210 mm and 2,135 × 775 × 1,110 mm?
  • Is the quoted range 120 km maximum or 90 km actual solo range, and under what test conditions?
  • Is the 55 km/h figure applicable to this exact motor and battery combination?
  • What are the battery’s voltage, Ah/kWh capacity, removable status and replacement price?
  • Does the 150 kg catalog loading claim include passenger and luggage?
  • What does the written warranty cover, for how long, and where must a claim be filed?
  • Is mobile-app connectivity fitted to this vehicle, and what functions remain available if the service is unavailable?
  • What is the current on-road price in your city, including registration, insurance and delivery?

Common buying mistakes and how to avoid them

Comparing ex-showroom prices as if they were final

An ex-showroom listing excludes costs that vary by location and transaction. Compare itemised on-road quotes issued on the same date, and keep finance and promotional conditions visible.

Assuming one CRX specification applies to every battery

Lead-acid and lithium versions can differ in weight, range, charge time and price. Have the variant code and battery details printed on the booking document.

Using the maximum range for trip planning

Until a reproducible test is supplied, plan around the brochure’s 90 km solo figure and retain a charging margin. Passenger load, speed and weather can reduce it.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Ignoring service distance

Ask who will perform warranty work after the sale, whether diagnostic equipment is available locally and how long common parts take to arrive. A lower purchase price is poor value if a failed controller leaves the scooter unused for weeks.

Which scooter makes sense for which buyer?

Your priority How to decide
Lowest upfront listing price The Ampere Reo is lowest in the HT Auto snapshot, but verify that its performance and warranty meet your use.
CRX storage and stated equipment Investigate the brochure’s 42-litre boot, portable charger and 90/90-12 tyres on the exact CRX variant.
Long daily distance Choose only after documenting battery capacity, realistic range conditions and charging access; the 120 km claim is not independently verified here.
Higher confidence in local support Give greater weight to a dealer who can provide written warranty terms, parts availability and a service location you can reach.
Need for a particular speed Confirm the road-use requirement and test with your normal load. The brochure’s 55 km/h is variant-specific until confirmed.

Verdict: is the Warivo CRX worth buying?

The CRX can be a sensible urban electric scooter at the listed price if the dealer offers the battery you want, the 90 km brochure range suits your route, and local support is demonstrably strong. Its portable charger, CBS, suspension hardware, 12-inch tubeless tyres and claimed 42-litre storage are useful on paper.

It is not a safe buy on headline numbers alone. The current page and brochure disagree on range, weight and dimensions, and the available price comparisons are dated listing snapshots rather than current on-road quotes. Buy only after Warivo or its dealer identifies the model year and battery, reconciles those specifications, and provides a written warranty with the final city price. If that documentation is unavailable, a scooter with clearly published, variant-matched specifications and reliable local service is the lower-risk choice—even if its sticker price is higher.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
