Do not open the battery, bypass a safety device, or keep testing after sparks, burning smell, unusual heat, or visible wiring damage. Those conditions require an authorised Warivo service technician.
The CRX is a 48V electric scooter with low-battery and battery-fault indicators, distance-to-empty information, and mobile-app connectivity. Warivo lists lead-acid and lithium battery versions, so charging and range symptoms should be assessed against the battery type fitted to your scooter rather than against a generic electric-scooter specification.

Warivo’s published CRX material does not provide a model-specific error-code table, fuse location, controller-reset procedure, wiring diagram, charger-output specification, app name, pairing PIN or firmware version. Those details cannot be safely inferred from another scooter.

Low-battery indication
The low-battery indicator means the available charge is low enough to affect operation. Treat it as a prompt to recharge with the original charger, not as permission to continue until the pack reaches zero. Warivo advises avoiding routine deep discharge because repeatedly running a battery completely flat can shorten its useful life and can contribute to starting or range problems.

Battery-fault indication
The CRX has a battery-fault indicator, but the official pages retrieved for the model do not define a code-by-code meaning or provide a reset sequence. A persistent fault indication should therefore be treated as a battery or related electrical-system warning. Stop troubleshooting if it remains after the charger has completed its cycle and the visible connector and port checks are satisfactory. Arrange an authorised inspection instead of clearing the warning by disconnecting components or bypassing protection.
Distance-to-empty reading
Distance-to-empty is an estimate, not a guarantee of remaining kilometres. The CRX is advertised with up to 90 km of range, but that headline figure is not a promise for every battery version, load, speed, route or temperature. A rapidly changing estimate, especially when accompanied by a fault indication, should be handled as a possible battery, charger, wiring or temperature issue.
Why a Warivo CRX may not charge
1. Start with the charger supplied for your scooter
Use the original Warivo charger intended for the CRX. Warivo warns that third-party chargers can overheat and cause long-term damage. Do not choose a replacement based only on a matching plug or a voltage number: connector fit, polarity, battery chemistry and output must all be verified for the exact CRX version by Warivo or an authorised technician.

2. Make the charging area safe
- Park the scooter in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep combustible material away from the charger and battery area.
- Ensure the scooter and charger are stable before connecting anything.
- Inspect the charger cable, plug, scooter connector and port for dirt, moisture, bent contacts, cracks or looseness.
- Only connect when the port is clean and completely dry.
Keep the protective cap over the charging port whenever the scooter is not being charged. Moisture or debris at the contacts can prevent charging and can create a dangerous connection when power is applied.
3. Check the charge cycle without forcing it
Connect the original charger according to its supplied instructions and allow the normal cycle to complete. If the charger appears to be working but the CRX does not gain charge, disconnect it and inspect the connector again rather than repeatedly plugging and unplugging a damaged port. Do not leave a suspected faulty charger connected unattended.
4. Stop immediately for sparks or heat
A spark at the port is not a normal troubleshooting result. Disconnect power only if you can do so safely, keep away from the scooter, and have the port and charging circuit inspected immediately. The same rule applies to a burnt smell, smoke, melting plastic, unusual heat, or visible damage to a cable or connector.

Why the CRX may not start
Confirm charge and indicators
Check that the scooter has usable battery charge and look for the low-battery or battery-fault indication. A low charge can prevent a normal start; a persistent battery-fault indication requires service rather than a reset guessed from another model.

Remove the charger and inspect the connection
Make sure the charging connector has been removed after the charge cycle. Examine the connector and port for moisture, dirt, bent contacts or physical damage. A scooter should not be operated with a wet or damaged charging connection.
Limit inspection to visible, safe items
You may look for loose or visibly damaged external connections, but do not open the battery pack, probe high-current terminals, bypass an interlock or safety device, or bridge a suspected fuse. The retrieved Warivo pages do not publish a CRX wiring diagram, fuse location or controller-reset process, so attempting those procedures without model-specific instructions can create shock, fire or further electrical damage.

Know when a no-start condition is a service issue
Stop and use authorised Warivo service if the fault indicator stays on, the scooter still will not start after the visible checks, or you notice heat, sparking, a burnt smell or damaged wiring. Tell the technician whether the failure occurred during charging, immediately after riding, or after storage; that timing helps distinguish a charging-port issue from a battery or control-system fault.

A sudden reduction in distance-to-empty is different from the gradual variation expected from speed, payload, hills, tyre pressure, traffic and weather. Warivo specifically identifies four possible causes that warrant inspection:
- Battery-cell problem: one or more cells may no longer deliver their expected capacity.
- Charger problem: an incomplete or abnormal charge can leave the pack undercharged even when the display appears active.
- Wiring irregularity: a damaged connection can create intermittent supply or inaccurate readings.
- Temperature stress: unusually hot or cold conditions can temporarily affect available energy and the range estimate.
Do not repeatedly run the battery to zero to “test” the range. Record the displayed charge, estimated distance, weather, load and the point at which the drop appeared, then ask an authorised Warivo service technician to check the vehicle. A repeated or abrupt change is more important than a single estimate made under different riding conditions.

Lead-acid and lithium versions: why the symptom may differ
Warivo lists both lead-acid and lithium battery options for the CRX. The correct charger and service procedure depend on which chemistry is installed. A charger designed for one chemistry should not be assumed safe for the other, even if the connector appears identical.

How to troubleshoot CRX mobile-app connectivity
Warivo confirms that the CRX supports mobile-app connectivity, but its retrieved official pages do not identify the app, pairing PIN, firmware version, CRX-specific error messages or a complete pairing workflow. Use only low-risk, generic checks:
- Turn the CRX on and keep the phone close to the scooter.
- Close the app completely, restart the phone, then reopen the app.
- Toggle Bluetooth off and on in the phone’s settings.
- If the phone shows an old CRX pairing, remove or forget that entry.
- Start discovery from inside the app rather than pairing to an unknown Bluetooth accessory from the operating-system menu.
- Retry with other nearby Bluetooth devices moved away, since several active devices can make identification confusing.
If the scooter is still not discoverable, do not install an unverified third-party app, guess a PIN, or buy a generic Bluetooth adapter. Contact a Warivo dealer or service channel and provide the phone model, operating-system version, app name shown on your paperwork, and what the scooter’s display does during discovery. The dealer can confirm the current app and any model-specific firmware or pairing requirement.

Charging and storage habits that prevent repeat faults
- Use the original Warivo charger and follow its supplied charging sequence.
- Charge in a cool, dry, ventilated area and keep the scooter out of direct sunlight while charging.
- Keep the charging port clean and dry; replace the protective cap after charging.
- Avoid making complete discharge a routine habit.
- Do not continue using the scooter after sparks, smoke, a burning smell, abnormal heat or visible wiring damage.
- When the scooter develops sudden range loss, arrange an authorised inspection instead of compensating with repeated deep-discharge cycles.
What to tell an authorised Warivo technician
Good information can shorten diagnosis and reduce unsafe trial-and-error. Record the scooter’s battery chemistry if known, the charge level before the fault, whether the charger’s cycle completed, any indicator shown, the temperature and weather, and whether the problem appeared after rain, storage, impact or a long ride. Photograph visible connector or cable damage without opening the battery compartment. Keep the original charger available for inspection.
Warivo provides a dealer locator for finding an authorised contact. Because the retrieved product pages do not publish a CRX-specific wiring diagram, fuse location, reset method, app workflow or charger-output specification, a dealer or service technician is the appropriate source for those details.
Safety boundary: when not to troubleshoot at home
Stop owner checks and isolate the scooter from further charging if there is port sparking, smoke, a burnt smell, melting, unusual battery or charger heat, swelling, exposed conductors, or a persistent battery-fault indicator. Do not open the battery pack or attempt a cell-level repair. Move people away, avoid water on an electrical fault, and contact authorised Warivo service for instructions. The CRX’s 48V system and battery energy can cause serious injury or fire if protective components are defeated.
