Volkswagen of America is advertising a customer bonus of $6,000 on new, unused 2026 ID.4s and $12,500 on new, unused 2025 ID.4s through November 2, 2026. Those are substantial advertised discounts, not guaranteed final prices: participating-dealer inventory is very limited, and your actual quote depends on local stock, eligibility, dealer pricing and fees. The ID. Tiguan, meanwhile, is a near-production concept scheduled to premiere in early October 2026—not a vehicle already available to buy.
How much is Volkswagen taking off the ID.4?
Volkswagen of America’s offer page lists these customer bonuses for new, unused vehicles at participating dealers:

Volkswagen says ID.4 inventory is very limited. The bonus does not establish the final selling price for any particular vehicle, and the offer terms exclude fleet and dealership sale program vehicles. Confirm that a specific car is in stock and that you qualify, then get a written, itemized quote from the dealer. Ask whether the price includes fees and how the bonus applies to that vehicle; the offer page does not establish that every buyer can combine it with every dealer price or financing arrangement. What does a 2026 ID.4 cost before the bonus?
Volkswagen lists a starting MSRP of $45,095 for the 2026 ID.4. Its model page gives the ID.4 Pro an EPA-estimated range of 291 miles; that figure applies to the Pro listing, not every configuration. Volkswagen also advertises an included two-year Electrify America Pass+ membership for qualifying new 2026 purchases, subject to the current terms. When will the ID. Tiguan arrive?
Volkswagen’s September 28, 2026 announcement describes the ID. Tiguan as a near-production concept that is not yet for sale. The company says it will premiere in early October 2026 and reach markets at the beginning of 2027. That is an announced broad market timeline, not a promise that customers in every country can buy one at the same time. Volkswagen says the ID. Tiguan will succeed both the ID.4 and ID.5. What this means for U.S. buyers deciding whether to wait
The available evidence does not establish when—or whether—the ID. Tiguan will reach U.S. dealers. Its announced beginning-of-2027 market timing should not be treated as a U.S. retail date. If you need a vehicle soon, compare a locally available ID.4’s written quote with the advertised bonus and your eligibility. If you can wait, the ID. Tiguan is a future option, but its U.S. timing, price and full specifications remain unknown in the cited announcements.

Availability differs by country
Volkswagen UK separately says the ID. Tiguan is expected in the UK at the beginning of 2027 and that the ID.4 and ID.5 were then available there only from stock. That stock statement applies to the UK; it does not describe U.S. inventory. In either market, check local dealer availability rather than assuming the models or offers are the same everywhere.
