The Vittori Turbio pairs a planned 6.8-litre naturally aspirated V12 with an electric front-axle engine, while generative AI played a role in exploring early 2D design concepts. Vittori says designers then refined the car’s final lines. The AI is part of the design story—not a driving system or a substitute for the engineers behind the hardware.
What does AI have to do with the Vittori Turbio?
Vittori describes generative AI as a creative aid in the earliest design stages: it helped produce and iterate 2D concepts. Designers developed the final lines through further human refinement. That is a narrower claim than saying AI designed the finished car, engineered its systems, or controls it on the road.
Design house Pininfarina partnered with Vittori on the Turbio. In an October 2025 announcement, Pininfarina described the car as a running concept and presented the collaboration as a design partnership. Motor1 reported on October 11, 2025, that a Vittori spokesperson confirmed some AI-assisted design. Pininfarina’s announcement and Motor1’s report support the distinction between early AI-assisted exploration and the human-refined design.
What powertrain and performance does Vittori claim?
Vittori’s official Turbio page identifies a 6.8-litre naturally aspirated ITV12 Orion V12, engineered by Italtecnica, and an electric front-axle engine. The company lists up to 904 CV for the V12 in track mode and 1,100 hp as projected total system output, including the electric engine. Those are different figures: the first is the stated track-mode V12 output; the second is the company’s total-output figure.

Vittori also describes the mild-hybrid assistance as intended to help the car meet emissions standards. Its current official page lists the following performance and construction specifications for the running concept:

These are figures on Vittori’s official Turbio page, which calls the displayed car a running concept and says specifications, colours and design may change before official release. They are company-stated targets or specifications, not independently verified production-car results. The page lists both rear-wheel drive and an electric front-axle engine but does not clarify how those descriptions fit together; it is not enough to conclude that the car has all-wheel drive.

Is the Turbio a production car yet?
No. Vittori presents the Turbio as a running concept and describes production and delivery as plans. Its official page lists a starting price of $2.5 million, a planned run of 50 cars, and deliveries targeted as early as 2028, subject to development and regulatory approvals. Those statements do not establish that production has been completed or deliveries have begun.
The concept’s status matters when interpreting its headline numbers: Vittori says the specifications may change before release, and its performance claims remain targets rather than independently confirmed results. An earlier Quattroruote report from August 22, 2025 covered the Turbio ahead of its later public presentation; for current company-stated figures and plans, Vittori’s own page is the primary reference.

What is the clearest way to understand the Turbio’s “AI” claim?
- AI’s stated role: early generative exploration and iteration of 2D design concepts.
- Human role: designers refined the final lines, with Pininfarina collaborating on the design.
- What is not established: that AI independently produced the final design, engineered the car, or is involved in driving.
- What remains provisional: the vehicle’s published technical figures, price, production quantity and timing are company plans or targets for a running concept.
Vittori founder and CEO Carlos Cruz described the design ambition in Pininfarina’s October 2025 announcement: “We didn’t want to make another supercar—we wanted to build something that feels like flight, like sculpture, like power at your fingertips.” That is a statement of intent, not a technical specification.
