The vehicle behind the “370-mile solid-state EV” headline is the Verge TS Pro electric motorcycle, not a passenger car. Its larger, reported 33.3 kWh battery configuration is said to offer up to 370 miles of range; the 20.2 kWh version is reported at up to 217 miles. Those figures, along with claims about battery life and fast charging, have not been independently verified in the cited coverage.
What is the Verge TS Pro, and what does “370 miles” mean?
The TS Pro is an electric motorcycle made by Verge Motorcycles. Donut Lab is identified in media reports as its battery technology partner. The 370-mile figure refers to the larger 33.3 kWh battery configuration, not every TS Pro and not a passenger car. Notebookcheck and MotorTrend report that figure as an “up to” claim, rather than an independently measured road-test result. Notebookcheck; MotorTrend.
How do the two reported battery versions compare?
| Configuration | Battery capacity | Reported range | Reported US price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smaller battery | 20.2 kWh | Up to 217 miles | $29,900, reported by Notebookcheck in its October 5, 2026 update |
| Larger battery | 33.3 kWh | Up to 370 miles | $34,900, reported by Notebookcheck in its October 5, 2026 update |
Notebookcheck published its report on January 5, 2026, and updated it on October 5, 2026. The prices are dated media-reported figures, not a live quote; check Verge’s current listing for availability and pricing. The cited coverage does not establish the range under a consistent independent test procedure, so do not treat the figures as guaranteed riding distances. Notebookcheck.
What is claimed about the battery—and what has been verified?
The “lifetime” description should be read as a company claim, not a proven service-life result. Notebookcheck says the battery is designed to last the motorcycle’s lifetime. TechRadar reports Donut Lab’s claims of minimal capacity fade and a design life of up to 100,000 cycles. These reports do not establish that a production battery has achieved that cycle life in independent testing. Notebookcheck; TechRadar.

MotorTrend’s January 8, 2026 report said Donut Lab had not disclosed the battery chemistry and no third party had examined a cell at that time. MotorTrend also reported a claimed cell-level energy density of 400 Wh/kg. That number is a company-associated specification, not an independently confirmed pack-level measure. The available reporting therefore does not independently establish the chemistry, lifespan, safety, energy density, or range of the battery. MotorTrend.

US models are reported to use NACS charging compatibility. Coverage describes a 200 kW charging claim in two different ways: Notebookcheck reports adding 186 miles in 10 minutes, while MotorTrend describes charging to 80 percent in 10 minutes. These are distinct reported measurements; neither establishes the result a rider will get at every charger or in every temperature and riding condition. Notebookcheck; MotorTrend.
