The Velotric Nomad 2 is a comfort- and cargo-oriented fat-tire e-bike, with a 75-pound listed weight that matters just as much as its generous payload. Velotric lists a 750 W hub motor, removable 705.6 Wh battery, front suspension and a choice of torque or cadence sensing. Its range claims are based on a specific, favorable test condition—not a guarantee of what every rider will get.
What the Nomad 2 is—and what the specifications say
Velotric’s US product page lists the Nomad 2 as a fat-tire electric bike with a 48 V, 750 W hub motor rated at 90 Nm and 1,300 W peak power. Its SensorSwap system lets riders select torque or cadence sensing. Torque sensing responds to how strongly the rider pedals; cadence sensing provides assistance based on pedaling rotation. The page also lists a 3.5-inch color Bluetooth display and USB-C charging. Velotric Nomad 2 specifications

The listed height ranges overlap. Use them as Velotric’s sizing guidance, not a substitute for checking fit in person. The 75-pound figure is especially relevant for anyone who needs to lift the bike onto a vehicle rack, carry it up steps or maneuver it in a tight storage space. Check the weight limit of the specific transport rack you plan to use.
Range: what Velotric’s 65-mile claim means
Velotric advertises up to 65 miles of pedal-assist range and 45 miles on throttle. The footnote on its product page specifies a 187-pound rider using PAS 1 in Eco mode on flat roads for the range test. Those are manufacturer figures under that stated condition, not a dependable forecast for every route or riding style. Velotric’s range claim and conditions

Comfort, carrying capacity and everyday practicality
The Nomad 2’s equipment points toward comfort and utility: 4-inch-wide tires, a 100 mm front suspension fork and a suspension seatpost, plus a rear rack rated by Velotric for 66 lb. The stated maximum payload is 505 lb, which includes the rider and carried load; it is not the rack’s capacity. The page lists full-coverage fenders, front and rear lights, a kickstand and a bell among the included equipment. A rear rack is identified as MIK HD compatible, but confirm compatibility before choosing other racks or cargo accessories.
