How far does the Velotric Discover 2 go on a charge?
Velotric advertises up to 75 miles of pedal-assist range and up to 60 miles using the throttle. Its product-page footnote specifies a 187 lb rider using pedal-assist level 1 in Eco mode on flat roads for the range figure. That is a particular manufacturer-stated condition, not a promise of everyday range. The listing does not provide an independent range test, so a real trip may differ with assist setting, terrain, rider and cargo weight, and other conditions.
How does its assist and speed adjustment work?
The product listing gives the Discover 2 three riding modes and five assist levels, with both torque- and cadence-sensor modes. It also lists a default maximum speed of 20 mph, an adjustable range of 12–28 mph, and class settings 1, 2 and 3. These are manufacturer-listed settings; the page does not determine which configuration is lawful where you ride. Check local requirements before changing speed or class settings.

Will the Discover 2 fit?
Velotric lists a Regular frame for riders 4 ft 11 in to 5 ft 9 in and a Large for 5 ft 6 in to 6 ft 4 in. Since the ranges overlap from 5 ft 6 in through 5 ft 9 in, the listed height bands do not by themselves resolve size choice. Check the frame geometry against your proportions and riding position, and arrange a test ride if possible. At 63 lb, the listed bike weight is also relevant if you expect to lift it onto a rack, carry it up stairs or maneuver it in storage.
The listed maximum payload is 440 lb. Treat that as the manufacturer’s maximum for total load, and account for rider, cargo and any accessories rather than reading it as a rider-weight figure.

What equipment is included for commuting?
Velotric lists front and rear fenders, a rear rack, lights, reflectors, a bell and a kickstand. The lighting is described as having turn signals and brake indication. The feature list also includes walk mode, a removable throttle, a USB-C port and Apple Find My integration. These are useful commuter-oriented features on paper; check the product page or seller for the exact package contents and current configuration before buying.
Velotric identifies the battery as UL 2271 certified and the e-bike as UL 2849 certified. Those are manufacturer-stated certifications, not a guarantee against every riding, battery or charging hazard. Follow the bike and battery instructions and use appropriate care when charging and storing the battery.

The Discover 2 is worth considering if you want a commuter-cruiser whose manufacturer-listed package combines adjustable assist, a removable battery, a rack, fenders, lighting and location features. Its strongest paper-case is equipment and configurability; the key trade-offs to assess are its 63 lb listed weight, your fit within the overlapping size bands, and whether the advertised range condition resembles your own routes and assist use.
