Gear Patrol reports stretch gore panels, an extra-thick lining and a platform that raises the upper above shallow puddles. Those are details from the publication’s account, rather than specifications stated in Vans’ short product description. Neither listing establishes a waterproof rating, so the platform should not be taken as proof that the shoe is waterproof.
How it compares with the UGG Tasman II
Gear Patrol’s comparison is about the lined slip-on look and feel of the category, not a controlled comfort or durability test. The publication reported a $130 full price for the UGG Tasman II alongside Vans’ $95 listing price. Both figures can change, and the comparison does not establish which shoe is more comfortable or longer-lasting.
