Used Cybertruck values are below their original MSRPs, but the size of the decline depends on the trim and on what “value” means. Kelley Blue Book’s estimates, current on the pages accessed October 8, 2026, put a 2024 AWD’s resale value at $71,100 against an $82,235 original MSRP; for a 2024 Cyberbeast, the figures are $81,400 and $102,235. These are estimates, not guaranteed offers or records of what owners actually paid or buyers ultimately spent.
How much value has a used Cybertruck lost?
Comparing KBB’s current resale estimates with original MSRP gives an approximate reference-point decline of $11,135, or 13.5%, for the 2024 AWD, and $20,835, or 20.4%, for the 2024 Cyberbeast. Those percentages are calculated from the cited MSRP and resale estimate; they are not measured losses on a particular owner’s truck. MSRP does not account for configuration differences, discounts, taxes, fees, or other purchase terms.
| 2024 trim | Original MSRP | KBB resale estimate | KBB trade-in estimate | Resale estimate below MSRP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AWD | $82,235 | $71,100 | $68,500 | $11,135 (about 13.5%) |
| Cyberbeast | $102,235 | $81,400 | $78,400 | $20,835 (about 20.4%) |
KBB’s trim-specific estimates were accessed October 8, 2026; the Cyberbeast page marks its values valid through that date. KBB says actual values vary with mileage, condition, location, and other factors. See the 2024 AWD value page and 2024 Cyberbeast value page.
What “value” means—and why the numbers differ
A resale estimate, a trade-in estimate, a dealer’s asking price, a dealer purchase-price estimate, and a completed transaction are different benchmarks. For example, KBB lists a $76,300 Fair Purchase Price for a typical used 2024 AWD at a dealership, alongside its $71,100 resale and $68,500 trade-in estimates. The Fair Purchase Price is not the same thing as a guaranteed dealer offer or a record of a completed sale. Check the valuation type before comparing numbers.

Trim and vehicle details also matter. The Cyberbeast started from a higher MSRP than the AWD, and its current estimates differ accordingly. Mileage, condition, ZIP code, and selling channel can all shift an individual valuation. KBB’s 2024 Cybertruck overview explains the model-year and trim context; its used-vehicle estimates are snapshots rather than universal prices.
Why Cybertruck values may be under pressure
Demand and market expectations
Kelley Blue Book says resale value is shaped substantially by supply and demand and by current and projected market conditions. A vehicle that is discounted more heavily or attracts less consumer interest can face pressure on resale expectations. That general mechanism helps explain how a used price can move, but it does not identify a single cause for any specific Cybertruck valuation.

Reported sales fell in 2025
Cox Automotive and Kelley Blue Book estimated 20,237 U.S. Cybertruck sales in 2025, down 48.1% from 38,965 in 2024. Their Q4 report estimated 4,140 sales in Q4 2025, down 68.1% from 12,991 in Q4 2024. These sales estimates are relevant context for buyer interest and price expectations; they do not prove that lower sales alone caused used-value declines. The figures are in the Q4 2025 Kelley Blue Book EV Sales Report.
Company-wide pricing is not Cybertruck-specific evidence
Tesla reported automotive sales revenue down 9% in 2025 versus 2024, citing about 8% fewer cash deliveries and a lower average selling price per unit from mix and higher customer incentives. That is company-wide context, not evidence of Cybertruck-specific price cuts or a direct explanation of its used values. See Tesla’s 2025 Form 10-K.

Do 2024 Cybertrucks depreciate quickly?
The answer depends on the comparison window and method. iSeeCars models a 49.5% decline after three years and 56.5% after five years for Cybertruck resale value. Those are model estimates derived from comparisons of new and used prices—not observed losses across completed three- or five-year Cybertruck ownership periods. The truck has not been on the market long enough for those figures to be treated as a record of completed ownership cycles. See the iSeeCars Cybertruck resale-value page.
For comparison, KBB’s 2026 announcement projects that an average 2026 model-year vehicle will retain about 45% of its value after five years. That broad benchmark is not a Cybertruck-specific forecast and should not be directly substituted for iSeeCars’ model or the current trim-specific estimates. KBB describes its resale-value framework in its 2026 Best Resale Value announcement.

What to check when pricing or buying a used Cybertruck
- Match the trim and model year. Do not compare an AWD estimate with a Cyberbeast or assume a 2024 estimate applies unchanged to a later model year.
- Compare the same kind of price. Separate trade-in estimates, private-party or resale estimates, dealer pricing, asking prices, and completed sale prices. An advertised listing is not proof of a transaction.
- Adjust for the individual truck. Check mileage, condition, location or ZIP code, equipment, and selling channel; these can change what an estimate means for a particular vehicle.
- Check recall and service-action status by VIN. Tesla’s recall and service-action index lists Cybertruck actions, including items involving the accelerator pedal trim, wiper motor, sail applique, drive inverter, cantrail, and off-road lightbar. Verify whether relevant work has been completed. The cited evidence does not establish that recalls caused the model’s depreciation.
What the available figures cannot tell you
The cited KBB estimates do not establish what a specific Cybertruck will sell for, and the available figures do not provide completed transaction prices broken out jointly by trim, mileage, condition, and U.S. region. A prospective seller should treat a valuation as a starting point, then compare current local vehicles with closely matched equipment and condition. A buyer should use the VIN, inspection, and vehicle history to assess the individual truck rather than infer its condition from a model-wide estimate.
