Its FY 2024–25 annual report identifies the RTSx as a supermoto concept with a new 300cc engine, but does not announce a production launch or provide a full specification sheet. That makes comparisons with KTM’s 2025 390 SMC R a matter of category and disclosed features—not yet a buyer-ready matchup.
Is TVS launching the RTS X?
Not yet confirmed. TVS’s FY 2024–25 annual report describes the RTSx as a “Supermoto” concept. The cited passage does not say that it is a production model, give a launch date, or announce a price. On the official evidence available here, it should be treated as a concept rather than a confirmed retail motorcycle.

That status leaves open whether TVS will develop the concept into a production bike, and whether a showroom model would retain the concept’s name, design, or mechanical details. The fact that RTSx is presented as a concept does not establish that it will never launch.
What engine and specifications has TVS disclosed?
The annual report says the RTSx has a “new 300cc engine.” That is the only RTSx-specific quantitative product detail established in the cited passage. It does not state the engine’s exact displacement, power, torque, transmission, weight, suspension setup, wheel or tire sizes, electronics, or final configuration.

Do not use the Apache RTX 300’s figures to fill those gaps. TVS announced that separate adventure-tourer model on October 15, 2025, with a specified 299.1cc engine; those details belong to the Apache RTX, not the RTSx. TVS’s Apache RTX 300 announcement is useful for distinguishing the products, not for completing the RTSx specification sheet.

KTM has formally introduced the 2025 390 SMC R as a supermoto. Its North American announcement, dated January 14, 2025, highlights long-travel suspension, 17-inch wheels, Michelin Power 6 tires, and rider aids. Those disclosed features make the KTM a relevant category-level reference for a TVS concept described as a supermoto.
The comparison should not be mistaken for a confirmed TVS-versus-KTM production contest. TVS has not disclosed enough RTSx information to compare performance, equipment, or value. KTM’s cited announcement is North American, so its details should not be assumed to establish specifications or availability in every market. See KTM’s announcement of the 2025 390 SMC R for the features it identifies.
What would a fair head-to-head comparison require?
Once TVS confirms a production RTSx and publishes its specifications, buyers could compare the two bikes on the details that affect performance, use, and ownership. At present, those RTSx values are not established.
- Engine and transmission: output, torque, exact displacement, and gearbox details.
- Chassis and ride: weight, suspension travel and adjustability, ergonomics, and intended road or off-road use.
- Wheels and equipment: wheel and tire setup, braking hardware, and rider aids.
- Ownership: price, market availability, service support, and warranty terms.
Until TVS supplies those details, claims that the RTSx outperforms, undercuts, or matches the KTM would go beyond what has been disclosed.
