The TVS Radeon is not equipped with an LED main headlamp according to TVS’s current specifications. Its main headlamp uses one 12 V HS1 35/35 W bulb; the separate daytime-running lamp (DRL) is a 12 V LED 5 W unit. The handlebar switch selects high or low beam, while physical aiming is a service adjustment that TVS schedules for inspection.
Before buying a replacement or trying to correct the beam, identify your Radeon version and manufacture-date group. TVS publishes separate manuals for the Radeon and Radeon Digital Speedometer Version, and the current owner’s manual gives the bulb ratings but not a Radeon-specific removal sequence, wall-target measurement or adjuster-screw procedure.

What “LED headlight” means on the TVS Radeon
Listings and casual descriptions often call the Radeon an LED-headlight motorcycle because it has an LED daytime-running lamp. TVS’s own documentation separates that DRL from the main headlamp. The 2026 TVS Radeon Owner’s Manual specifies one 12 V HS1 35/35 W head-lamp bulb and a 12 V LED 5 W DRL. TVS’s official Radeon product page likewise describes a 12 V 35/35 W multi-reflector headlamp with LED DRL.

The road-lighting unit that changes between high and low beam is the HS1 bulb. “35/35 W” is the manufacturer’s electrical rating for that bulb; it is not a brightness guarantee, a measured beam distance or a promise of service life. The manual lists one bulb, written as “Head lamp bulb : 12V, HS1 35/35W x 1.”

Daytime-running lamp
The DRL is a separate 12 V LED 5 W lamp. It should not be used as evidence that the main headlamp has an LED emitter, and a DRL fault does not automatically mean the HS1 headlamp bulb has failed.

Beam switching is not beam adjustment
Using the handlebar control
The Radeon manual states: “The head lamp beam (high/low) can be controlled by pressing the beam control switch.” This control changes the selected beam while you ride. It does not move the lamp housing, alter its vertical aim or correct a beam that points too high or too low. Use the appropriate beam for traffic and road conditions, as the manual instructs.
What physical aiming involves
Physical aiming is the mechanical inspection and adjustment of the headlamp’s direction. TVS includes “Head lamp beam” inspection and adjustment, marked “I & A,” in the periodic maintenance schedule. That entry confirms that beam aim is a service item; it does not publish the adjustment method.

Information TVS does not provide in the current owner’s manual
The Radeon owner’s manual reviewed for this article does not give a model-specific wall distance, cutoff height, adjuster-screw location or direction, torque value, fastener-removal sequence or complete DIY aiming procedure. Do not copy a target measurement or screw setting from another TVS motorcycle. A different model can use a different reflector, bracket or legal beam target.
A safe Radeon-specific workflow
- Read the identification label, registration documents and instrument-cluster description to determine whether the motorcycle is the standard Radeon or the Digital Speedometer Version.
- Use the TVS user-manual portal and select the matching model and manufacture-date category. The portal presents Radeon and Radeon Digital Speedometer Version as separate choices.
- Check the headlamp operation with the beam-control switch. If high and low selection works but the light is aimed incorrectly, the issue is mechanical aiming rather than switch operation.
- Ask an authorized TVS dealer or qualified motorcycle technician to inspect and adjust the beam using the service information for that exact version. Tell the technician if the motorcycle has a replacement bulb, a damaged front assembly or a recent crash, because those conditions can affect aim.
- After adjustment, verify that the switch still selects both beams and that the lamp housing is secure before riding at night.
This process is deliberately conservative: it gives you the version check and diagnostic distinction supported by TVS documentation without inventing a Radeon target distance or screw procedure.
Identify your Radeon version before ordering parts
TVS ties its manual selection to the vehicle’s manufacture-date category and separates the standard Radeon from the Digital Speedometer Version. A part that appears to fit one production group may not be appropriate for another. The electrical rating is consistent in the current manual, but fitment, access panels and service instructions should still be confirmed against the exact motorcycle.

Radeon headlight bulb type and electrical rating
The specification to search for
Use HS1, 12 V, 35/35 W as the starting specification for the main headlamp. TVS lists one bulb, not two separate bulbs for high and low beam. When comparing a product listing, confirm that it explicitly states HS1 and 12 V 35/35 W and that the seller identifies compatibility with your Radeon version.
Do not substitute the DRL specification
The DRL’s 12 V LED 5 W rating is for the separate running lamp. It is not a replacement specification for the main headlamp. A product advertised as a Radeon LED DRL does not establish that it replaces the HS1 bulb, and an HS1 headlamp listing does not replace the DRL module.
What the numbers do and do not tell you
The 12 V and 35/35 W figures are manufacturer electrical specifications. They do not establish measured lux, usable road distance, color temperature, lifetime, fuel-economy effect or legal compliance for every aftermarket product. TVS’s official material reviewed here does not name a bulb manufacturer, retail SKU or brightness test. Keep the original specification unless the correct service documentation for your exact version authorizes another part.

How to replace the Radeon headlight bulb
The current owner’s manual supplies the bulb type but does not set out a bulb-removal and refitting sequence. Because access can depend on the model-year version and front assembly, the safest replacement procedure is to use the matching service instructions rather than a generic motorcycle video.
Preparation and fitment checks
- Confirm the motorcycle’s Radeon version and manufacture-date category in the TVS manual portal.
- Obtain a bulb identified as HS1, 12 V, 35/35 W. Confirm the base, electrical rating and fitment with the exact product documentation or an authorized TVS dealer.
- Switch off the ignition, park securely and allow the lamp to cool. Do not work from memory if you cannot identify the correct connector or retaining arrangement.
- Obtain the version-appropriate removal and refitting instructions from TVS service information or have a dealer perform the job. The owner’s manual available here does not authorize a particular fastener, rubber cover or retaining clip sequence.
- After installation, check that the bulb is seated without force, the connector and protective covers are secure, and both high and low beams operate.
- Have the headlamp aim inspected if the housing was disturbed, the front end was damaged or the beam pattern changed after replacement.
Do not force an HS1 bulb into a socket that does not match, modify the connector, or install a higher-wattage bulb to seek more light. The published Radeon specification is 35/35 W; changing the load can create heat, wiring or charging-system problems that the official material does not approve.

DRL works but the main headlamp is dark
Because the DRL and headlamp are separate components, a functioning LED DRL does not prove that the HS1 bulb, its connector, fuse or switch circuit is healthy. Check the high/low control and have the headlamp circuit and bulb inspected using the correct service information.

Only one beam appears to work
First operate the beam-control switch deliberately. If the selected beam does not change, the fault may involve the bulb, connector, switch or wiring; a beam-aim adjustment will not restore an electrical function. Stop riding at night until the failed beam is diagnosed.
Both beams work but the road is poorly illuminated
Do not assume that replacing the bulb with an LED product will solve the problem. Check the HS1 rating and fitment, then have the reflector, lens, wiring and physical aim inspected. The official specifications do not provide a brightness benchmark against which an aftermarket bulb can be judged.
The beam points into oncoming traffic or at the road
This is an aiming issue, not a high/low selection issue. The maintenance schedule calls for inspection and adjustment, but the owner’s manual does not publish a Radeon wall target or adjuster location. Use the exact service procedure or an authorized dealer rather than guessing.

Maintenance and when to seek professional help
Include headlamp-beam inspection in the scheduled maintenance checks listed by TVS. Arrange an earlier inspection after a fall, front-end repair, headlamp-housing replacement, repeated bulb failure or any change in the beam pattern. A technician should also check for loose mounting, damaged wiring, moisture or a deteriorated reflector when a new bulb does not restore normal operation.
- Use the manufacturer’s HS1 12 V 35/35 W specification for the main bulb.
- Keep the separate 12 V LED 5 W DRL identified as a different component.
- Distinguish the handlebar high/low switch from mechanical beam aiming.
- Match the manual to the Radeon version and manufacture-date category.
- Do not use another TVS model’s wall distance, screw position or removal sequence as a Radeon instruction.
Official references
The TVS Radeon Owner’s Manual (2026) contains the HS1 and DRL ratings, beam-switch description and maintenance schedule. The TVS Radeon product page identifies the multi-reflector 35/35 W headlamp and LED DRL. The TVS user-manual portal is the place to select the applicable Radeon version and manufacture-date category before following service instructions.
