TVS publishes four initial NTORQ 125 services at 500–750 km/2 months, 2,500–3,000 km/4 months, 5,000–6,000 km/8 months and 8,500–9,000 km/one year. TVS says those first four servicing sessions are free of cost. After the fourth visit, its published guidance calls for routine service every 3,000 km, with the applicable owner manual and authorised dealer determining the exact jobs.
There is no single official rupee figure for a paid NTORQ 125 service. Your bill depends on the scooter’s variant, production-date manual, labour, consumables, wear and any repairs found during inspection. Use the checklist and estimate process below to keep the work correct and the invoice transparent.

The intervals are windows rather than a promise that every scooter will receive identical work on an identical day. Keep both the odometer and purchase date in your records. If the scooter is used only occasionally, do not let a low kilometre reading persuade you to ignore the calendar point. If it is used heavily, ask the dealer whether an earlier inspection is appropriate.

For the exact operation list, use the owner manual for your scooter’s model, variant, instrument cluster and production date. TVS’s published article is a high-level schedule; the manual’s maintenance table controls the individual inspection, adjustment, replacement, lubrication and service instructions.
What is checked at an NTORQ 125 service?
TVS describes routine maintenance as more than an oil change. Use the following list when you open the job card with the service adviser.
Engine health and engine oil
Ask the technician to assess general engine health and check the engine oil condition. Oil replacement should be carried out when the manual says it is due, using the specification for your exact vehicle. Request that the invoice identify the oil quantity and product used. Do not assume that a free-service label means every fluid or consumable is included; TVS’s article does not define the contents of that phrase.

Air and other filters
Filters should be inspected and cleaned or replaced as the manual requires. Dusty roads, construction zones and unpaved commuting can load a filter faster than normal. Tell the adviser how the scooter is used and ask for a replacement explanation if a filter is proposed outside the scheduled operation.

Brakes and tyres
Have both brakes inspected for operation and wear, and have the tyres checked for condition, tread and damage. Ask the technician to record any wear item that needs replacement, the reason it is unsafe or outside specification, and the part price before work begins.
Suspension, steering and wheels
Suspension and steering-related components should be checked according to the manual. Mention pulling, unusual play, a new vibration, uneven tyre wear or a change in ride quality. These symptoms can justify a closer inspection even when the next routine interval has not arrived.
Clutch belt and driveline
TVS specifically includes driveline condition, including clutch-belt tension, in its overview. Ask for the condition of the belt and related components to be noted rather than accepting a vague “drive work” line on an invoice.

Service record and next due point
Before collecting the scooter, confirm that the service history shows the date, odometer reading, jobs completed, parts or fluids supplied and the next distance or date to monitor. Keep the invoice and job card; they are useful for warranty discussions and for identifying recurring faults.

What does “first four services free” cover?
TVS says the first four servicing sessions are free of cost. The published statement does not say that every part, fluid, consumable or repair is free, and it does not publish a universal paid-service price. A free scheduled visit can therefore still lead to a charge if you approve an item outside the included work or if a component is worn or damaged.
Ask the service centre to separate the estimate into three groups:
- Scheduled operations: work required by the relevant manual at that interval.
- Consumables: oil, filters, cleaners or other materials, with inclusion or exclusion stated in writing.
- Additional repairs: wear items or fault repairs found during inspection, performed only after you approve them.
If the adviser says a replacement is necessary, ask for the symptom or measurement, the part number, the price, labour, taxes and the consequence of postponing it. Verify warranty terms with TVS rather than assuming that a free service or a non-genuine part has a particular effect on coverage.

No current rupee amount for a paid NTORQ 125 service is established by TVS’s published article. A single number advertised as the universal “NTORQ service charge” would be misleading because the final amount changes with location, labour rates, variant, parts, consumables, mileage and the scooter’s condition.

Get an itemised estimate before authorising extra work. If two estimates differ, compare the work line by line instead of choosing solely by the total. A lower total may omit a scheduled operation; a higher total may include an optional or premature replacement.

TVS’s vehicle-manual selector distinguishes NTORQ documentation by variant and production date, including vehicles manufactured before April 2025 and vehicles manufactured on or after April 2025. Select the exact model or cluster shown for your scooter and use the chassis or vehicle details requested by the portal.
Do not copy an oil grade, belt specification or adjustment value from a different NTORQ version. Features and maintenance instructions can vary by variant and production period. If the label on the scooter and the manual selector do not agree, ask an authorised TVS dealer to resolve the discrepancy before ordering parts.

The BSVI owner manual recommends TVS Genuine parts when replacement is required. That recommendation does not mean every online listing fits every NTORQ 125. Verify the part number and fitment against the scooter’s variant and chassis details with an authorised dealer.
Workshop visit: a practical step-by-step checklist
- Record the baseline. Note the current odometer, date, fuel level and any warning light, noise, vibration, starting issue or change in braking.
- Bring the correct manual information. Provide the variant, production date if known, and previous service invoices so the adviser can select the right schedule.
- Describe operating conditions. Mention dusty routes, frequent full-throttle running, heavy loads, stop-start traffic, water exposure or long periods parked.
- Ask for the scheduled job list. Have the adviser mark the operations due at this mileage and time point rather than opening a generic package.
- Request a pre-work estimate. Require labour, parts, consumables and taxes to be itemised. Ask that unscheduled work wait for your approval.
- Authorise only explained replacements. For each extra part, request the reason, part number, price and whether postponing it creates a safety or reliability risk.
- Inspect the paperwork at collection. Check that the invoice names the oil or parts supplied and records the actual odometer reading and work completed.
- Set the next reminder. Record the next 3,000 km routine point after the fourth service, plus any earlier date or mileage the dealer writes on the job card.
When severe use calls for more frequent attention
The NTORQ owner manual states: “If the vehicle is used under high stress conditions such as continuous full throttle operation or is used / operated in dusty area, certain jobs should be performed more often to ensure reliability of the vehicle.” That is a reason to discuss an adjusted inspection plan, not permission to invent a new interval yourself.
Examples include daily operation on unpaved or dusty roads, sustained high-speed running, repeated maximum-load trips, severe stop-start traffic and conditions that contaminate the air filter or belt housing. Tell the dealer which conditions apply and ask the adviser to identify the specific jobs that should move earlier. Keep that advice with the service record so the next workshop sees the same operating profile.
Checks between scheduled services
Routine inspections do not replace the service schedule, but simple observations can reveal a problem early. Stop and seek professional advice if you notice a brake-performance change, tyre damage, a persistent oil leak, new steering play, severe vibration, unusual transmission noise, repeated starting difficulty or a warning indicator. Do not continue riding a scooter that is unsafe merely because the next kilometre interval has not arrived.
Use the owner manual for permitted owner checks, fluid-level procedures and cleaning instructions. Avoid disassembling safety-critical or driveline components without the specified tools and knowledge. An authorised TVS dealer is the appropriate place for scheduled work when the manual calls for specialised inspection or adjustment.
Official maintenance guidance
TVS’s NTORQ owner manual says: “TVS Motor Company Limited strongly recommends that the jobs as per the maintenance schedule be performed by your TVS Motor Company Authorised Main Dealer / Authorised Dealer.” Follow that recommendation for scheduled operations, retain the resulting records and use the manual matched to your scooter’s production date and variant.
