Kelce attended the Miami Grand Prix during the NFL offseason
The race took place inside the Hard Rock Stadium complex, where the temporary Miami International Autodrome hosted Formula 1’s 2024 Miami event. The official schedule listed the Grand Prix start at 20:00 UTC on May 5.
Kelce’s appearance came during the NFL offseason, making the event a natural meeting point between American football celebrity culture and Formula 1’s increasingly prominent U.S. presence. He was not reported to have taken part in an official on-track activity or driver appearance; the coverage centered on his arrival and his presence among the spectators and guests.
What Travis Kelce wore in Miami
Kelce arrived in a vivid green matching shirt-and-shorts outfit. He paired it with sunglasses, a black baseball cap and black sneakers. No reliable source in the available reporting identified a designer or specific clothing brand, so the outfit is best described by its color and style rather than attributed to a label.
He was also photographed or seen looking at cars at the event. That detail should not be read as evidence that Kelce entered a garage, handled a Formula 1 vehicle or drove on the Miami circuit.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes were also at the race
Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes attended the Miami Grand Prix with his wife, Brittany Mahomes. Brittany was reported to be wearing a pink-and-white gingham minidress.
The 2024 race weekend attracted a wide range of high-profile guests, including Camila Cabello, will.i.am, Keke Palmer, Jerry Bruckheimer, Yuvraj Singh, Darius Butler and Nyjah Huston. Formula 1’s own event coverage documented that broader celebrity presence, although it is separate from the report identifying Kelce at the track.
Why Kelce’s F1 appearance had a business angle
Kelce and Mahomes had already been connected to Formula 1 through an investment announced on October 17, 2023. The pair were identified as strategic investors in Otro Capital’s existing Alpine F1 investment group.
Formula 1 reported that the investment group was connected to a €200 million fund. Earlier investors included RedBird Capital Partners, Maximum Effort Investments and actor Ryan Reynolds. Kelce described the opportunity as one tied to a sport built around precision, teamwork and innovation.

He was not the owner of Alpine outright, nor was he an Alpine team principal. The accurate description is that he was part of an investor group connected to the Alpine Formula 1 operation.
Who won the 2024 Miami Grand Prix?
McLaren’s Lando Norris won the Miami Grand Prix, finishing ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. It was Norris’s first Formula 1 Grand Prix victory.
The result provided the sporting backdrop to Kelce’s appearance: he attended a race that delivered Norris’s maiden win while sharing the venue with Mahomes and a large group of celebrity guests.
Was Taylor Swift at the Miami Grand Prix with Kelce?
The available reporting does not establish that Taylor Swift attended the race with Kelce. A preview had speculated that Swift and Kelce might appear, but the report confirming Kelce’s presence did not say that Swift was at the Miami Grand Prix. Her attendance should therefore not be presented as fact.

The bigger crossover between the NFL and Formula 1
Kelce and Mahomes’ presence illustrated how Formula 1 events can bring together major American sports figures, entertainment personalities and international racing audiences. Their Alpine investment also created a direct commercial link between two Chiefs stars and one of Formula 1’s teams.
Still, the May 5 appearance was primarily a trackside visit. The evidence supports saying that Kelce watched the race, took in the atmosphere and looked at cars—not that he participated in the sporting event or carried out a formal team role.
