Toyota lists the 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition at $69,350 before options and other charges. That is $6,050 below Porsche USA’s listed $75,400 starting MSRP for the 2025 base 718 Cayman. It is a close positioning comparison—not equal pricing—and the cars are different model years.
How the Supra Final Edition price compares with a Porsche Cayman
Toyota’s U.S. model page lists the 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition at a $69,350 base MSRP. Porsche USA’s configurator lists the 2025 718 Cayman from $75,400, putting the Supra $6,050 lower on the published starting prices. Toyota notes dealer prices vary; Porsche says its MSRP excludes options, taxes, title, registration, delivery, processing and handling, dealer charges, and potential tariffs, and that the dealer sets the actual selling price. Neither figure is an out-the-door quote.
The comparison is model-year mismatched: Toyota’s price is for a 2026 Supra, while Porsche’s cited Cayman listing is for a 2025 model. These are manufacturer-listed prices, not a comparison of transaction prices or dealer availability.
Where the Final Edition sits within Toyota’s 2026 Supra range
| 2026 Toyota GR Supra grade | U.S. base MSRP |
|---|---|
| 3.0 | $58,300 |
| 3.0 MT | $58,300 |
| 3.0 Premium | $61,450 |
| 3.0 Premium MT | $61,450 |
| MkV Final Edition | $69,350 |
Prices are Toyota’s U.S. base MSRPs listed on its 2026 model page, checked October 8, 2026; dealer prices may vary. The Final Edition is $11,050 above the listed 3.0 base grade. That is the difference between manufacturer list prices, not evidence of a market premium.

The Porsche comparison also depends on trim. Porsche USA lists the 2025 718 Cayman S from $87,900 and the GTS 4.0 from $103,300, both above the Final Edition’s MSRP. “Porsche” is therefore too broad a shorthand unless the Cayman trim is named.
What the manufacturers say about performance
Toyota’s 2026 U.S. page lists a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, manual or automatic transmission, and a 0–60 mph time of 3.9 seconds. Toyota’s April 2025 announcement gives all 2026 grades 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. These are Toyota’s specifications, not independent test results.

Porsche USA lists 300 hp and a 4.7-second 0–60 mph time for the 2025 base 718 Cayman. Porsche identifies it as rear-wheel drive and offers manual or automatic transmission. The figures are each manufacturer’s published specifications; they do not establish how the cars compare in a head-to-head test.
What “Final Edition” and “BMW-powered” mean here
Toyota’s April 3, 2025 U.S. announcement calls the 2026 model a celebration of the MkV generation: “For the 2026 model year, Toyota celebrates this legendary sports car with the GR Supra MkV Final Edition.” Toyota announced a run of 1,300 units across North America. The announcement supports the final-edition framing, but does not by itself establish a precise production end date in every market or settle future Supra plans.

The BMW connection is rooted in the Supra’s shared development and engine-code history. Toyota’s 2019 Japanese launch release described the car as a product of collaboration with BMW, listing B48 2.0-liter engines for Japanese-market SZ and SZ-R grades and a B58 3.0-liter engine for the RZ. It also named Magna Steyr’s Graz plant in Austria as the production site. That is historical Japanese-market context; Toyota’s current U.S. page identifies the 2026 engine as a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six but does not name its supplier. The available facts support describing a BMW collaboration, not erasing Toyota’s engineering role or asserting supplier details beyond what Toyota states.

- Match the trims: Compare the Supra MkV Final Edition with the base 2025 Cayman only if those are the versions under consideration; the Cayman S and GTS 4.0 have higher listed starting prices.
- Compare full quotes: Starting MSRPs exclude or may not include options and other charges. Obtain dealer quotes with the same assumptions before treating the $6,050 difference as a purchase-price gap.
- Separate specifications from testing: Toyota and Porsche publish different power and acceleration figures, but the cited specifications are not a controlled, independent comparison.
- Check edition equipment: Toyota says the Final Edition includes a GR camo car cover. Confirm exact equipment and fitment for the car’s model year and trim before buying another cover.
- Do not infer availability from the announced run: The North American figure is Toyota’s announced edition run, not a statement of remaining inventory or local allocation.
The cited manufacturer information does not establish a complete comparison of ownership costs, reliability, dealer markups, or track performance.
