Toyota says production of the fifth-generation GR Supra will end in Spring 2026, but it has not confirmed a production successor. The 2026 model year is the current generation’s final chapter, including a U.S.-market MkV Final Edition; Toyota’s plans to keep developing the Supra name through motorsports are not a promise of another road car.
When does GR Supra production end?
Toyota USA announced on April 3, 2025, that “Production of the fifth-generation GR Supra will end Spring 2026.” The company did not give a specific final production day. The announcement identifies the 2026 model year as the culmination of the current generation, not a precise cutoff for dealer orders or deliveries. Toyota USA’s announcement does not establish live inventory, allocations, or whether a particular dealer can still take an order.
Has Toyota confirmed a new Supra?
No production successor is confirmed in the Toyota announcements cited here. Toyota Global’s November 28, 2024 release describes the A90 Final Edition as the culmination of the current Supra and says Toyota GAZOO Racing will continue to hone the Supra through motorsports. That statement signals continued motorsports activity, not a confirmed successor road car, and Toyota has not announced a successor’s name, release date, design, or powertrain. Toyota Global’s release concerns the A90 Final Edition described for Japan and Europe; the U.S. announcement uses the name MkV Final Edition.
What is included in the 2026 GR Supra lineup?
Toyota USA lists three 2026 grades: 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and MkV Final Edition. Toyota says all U.S. 2026 grades produce 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque and describes manual and automatic transmission availability. The announcement also names Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires as standard equipment. Local availability, equipment details, and pricing should be checked in the relevant market. Toyota USA’s model announcement does not state a U.S. production quantity for the MkV Final Edition.

How do the Final Edition and order details differ by market?
Special-edition names, prices, and customer-order timing are market-specific. Toyota Global’s 2024 release describes a 300-unit limited global run of the A90 Final Edition for the regions specified in that announcement; that quantity should not be applied to the U.S. MkV Final Edition. Toyota Canada’s June 2, 2025 announcement gives a Canadian starting MSRP of C$69,685 for its 2026 GR Supra. Toyota Australia said it would cease taking customer orders for the current generation in August 2025. Neither the Canadian price nor Australian order timing establishes U.S. pricing, inventory, or order status.

Does Toyota’s 2026 racing program confirm a road-car successor?
No. Toyota Australia’s announcement of a GR Supra Supercar for the 2026 Supercars Championship is about a competition vehicle and racing program, not a production successor for public roads. Toyota Australia’s racing announcement should not be read as confirmation of a next-generation showroom model.

Can you still order a 2026 GR Supra?
The model-year announcement does not answer whether a specific dealer has an allocation, accepts orders, or has a car available. Buyers should ask a Toyota dealer in their market about current order status, allocations, and on-lot inventory; those can vary by location and over time. Toyota’s U.S. newsroom maintains a sports-car model-year index, but it is not a live dealer-stock listing.
