These are dated starting-price and model-level range comparisons—not matched-trim tests or dealer quotes.
How much does a 2026 Kia EV9 cost?
Kia America’s 2025 announcement for the 2026 model year lists five U.S. trim starting MSRPs. Each excludes a $1,645 destination charge. Kia also says its product-page MSRP excludes taxes, title, license, options and dealer charges; the dealer sets the actual price, which may vary.

These are manufacturer-announced MSRPs, not out-the-door totals or promises of a local selling price. Kia says availability and specifications can change. What is the range of the Kia EV9?
Kia lists a range of 230 to 305 miles for the EV9, depending on version. That spread matters: there is no single range figure that applies to every trim and drivetrain. Kia’s product page specifically gives the illustrated 2026 GT-Line AWD an EPA-estimated 280 miles.

Kia EV9 vs. Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Rivian R1S: price and range
Plug In America’s February 2026 EV Guide gives a useful dated snapshot of starting MSRP and model-level range. It describes its listings as a sampling of vehicles available as of that month, and warns that models, prices and range figures may change. The ranges are not matched-trim comparisons or results from a same-condition test.

Within that guide, the Ioniq 9’s listed starting MSRP is higher than the EV9’s, and its range band is higher. The R1S is listed at a higher starting price than either, with a broader range band and a higher maximum. Those comparisons do not establish equivalent equipment, trim value, or real-world range. Seating and family practicality
Kia describes the EV9 as seating up to seven adults, but the seating layout depends on configuration; do not assume every trim has the same arrangement. The cited comparison figures do not establish equivalent seating layouts, usable cargo capacity or third-row measurements for the Ioniq 9 and R1S.

For a family-size SUV, check the exact vehicle’s seat configuration and try the seats you expect to use. Bring the child seats, passengers or cargo that shape your decision, and confirm how much room remains when the third row is occupied. Kia’s stated seating capacity is on its EV9 product page.

Kia says the 2026 EV9 is compatible with Tesla Superchargers. That statement does not specify every station’s access requirements, so confirm current instructions for the vehicle and route before relying on a particular charger. - Get a local quote: Ask the dealer for the exact trim, options, destination, taxes, title, license and dealer charges so you can compare total prices rather than starting MSRPs.
- Match the range to the configuration: Confirm the EPA estimate for the specific EV9 trim and drivetrain you are considering; do not apply the model’s full range span to one vehicle.
- Compare the actual cabin: Verify seat layout, third-row usability and cargo room in each candidate rather than inferring them from model-level summaries.
- Check the route’s charging details: Confirm current station access requirements before planning around Superchargers.
