The Toyota C-HR+ electric SUV is already on sale in Europe. Toyota GB announced UK sales from 6 January 2026, with deliveries from March, and published launch prices from £34,495. Whether it is a bargain depends on your country, trim, equipment and any incentives you qualify for—not on a single headline price.
When did the Toyota C-HR+ go on sale?
The battery-electric C-HR+ is a separate model from Toyota’s self-charging hybrid and plug-in-hybrid C-HR SUVs. Toyota describes it as an electric vehicle built on its e-TNGA battery-electric platform, rather than an electric trim of the existing hybrid. Toyota Europe said it would be available to purchase across Europe from March 2026; Toyota GB announced UK sales from 6 January and deliveries from March, while Toyota España reported first deliveries in March. Toyota España said the two Spanish versions might qualify for up to €3,375 and €2,925 respectively through the Programa Auto+, subject to that program’s terms. These are Spain-specific figures from the announcement, not guaranteed savings. Check current rules and eligibility before including any support in a budget. UK launch prices are likewise dated figures; Toyota GB said purchase offers would be announced later. Which battery, drivetrain and range do you get?
Toyota Europe’s 19 March 2026 release lists three European battery-and-drive configurations. Its range figures are manufacturer WLTP values, not predictions of the distance every driver will achieve. Wheel size and grade affect the quoted range.

In Toyota’s European grade structure, Mid is the 57.7 kWh front-wheel-drive version; Mid+ is available with either the 77 kWh front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive setup; High is 77 kWh AWD. Those grade names are not interchangeable with the UK’s Icon, Design and Excel names.

Toyota also lists consumption of 13.4 kWh/100 km for the 57.7 kWh FWD version. For 77 kWh FWD it lists 13.4 kWh/100 km with 18-inch wheels and 14.6 kWh/100 km with 20-inch wheels. Its AWD table gives 14.4–15.5 kWh/100 km depending on wheel and grade. These are manufacturer figures, not independent road-test results. Toyota specifies 0–100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and towing capacity up to 1,500 kg for AWD.
How does charging vary by version?
Toyota says the European range supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW and has an 11 kW onboard AC charger as standard. The High grade includes a 22 kW onboard AC charger. Toyota also describes battery heating and preconditioning for cold-weather charging, plus a heat pump for cabin climate efficiency. The release does not establish compatibility with a particular home charger or local electrical installation; check both with an installer or dealer before buying equipment.

What is included in the UK grades?
Toyota GB’s December 2025 launch announcement describes Icon as the 57.7 kWh version, with a target range of up to 284 miles. Design and Excel use the 77 kWh battery, with an expected range of up to 376 miles depending on equipment and wheel size. All three versions in that announced UK line-up are front-wheel drive. The mile figures are Toyota’s launch claims, not independent real-world results.

The UK release also lists a 14-inch touchscreen, seven-inch digital combimeter, two wireless device chargers, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Equipment can vary by market and model year, so confirm a specific car’s specification in writing.

Is the Toyota C-HR+ a bargain?
The published prices show where Toyota positioned the car in the UK and Spain at the dates of its announcements, but they do not prove that it is cheaper or better value than a rival. No competitor price comparison or independent road test is established here. A useful comparison starts with local, like-for-like versions and a current total price.
- Compare the same country and tax basis; do not compare a UK on-the-road price directly with a Spanish price.
- Match battery size, front- or all-wheel drive, grade, wheel size and included equipment.
- Count only incentives you are eligible for, and verify that they remain available.
- Consider whether longer range, AWD, towing capacity or a faster onboard AC charger matters to your use.
- Use the WLTP figures as a standardised comparison, not as a promise of real-world range.
For context, Toyota Europe’s 12 March 2025 reveal described the C-HR+ as 4,520 mm long, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase and 416 litres of load space. The newer March 2026 release is the better reference for marketed battery, charging and range specifications.

What warranty and battery coverage is described for Spain?
Toyota España’s March 2026 release describes battery coverage retaining at least 70% capacity up to 10 years of vehicle age, with extension under its Battery Care Program dependent on annual electrical-system checks. It also refers to an eight-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty and conditions. These are not a blanket 10-year vehicle warranty; consult the Spanish release and current local warranty terms for the complete conditions.
