The 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid is identified as TopSpeed’s Pickup of the Year in the title of this article. TopSpeed’s award article and its explanation for the selection could not be verified, so the reasoning behind the award should not be inferred from Ford’s product claims. What can be checked is the truck’s U.S. configuration: Ford lists a 2.5L hybrid powertrain as standard on XL, XLT and Lariat, with different published fuel-economy estimates for front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
What is confirmed about the TopSpeed award?
The award claim is the one stated in the supplied title: TopSpeed names the 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid its Pickup of the Year. The TopSpeed article, judging process and rationale were not verified here. That means the award can be reported as the title’s claim, but no specific reason—such as fuel economy, towing ability or value—can be attributed to TopSpeed.

Ford’s estimated fuel economy, by hybrid configuration
Ford Division’s 2025 Maverick Order Guide, dated April 28, 2025, lists these adjusted estimates for the two hybrid configurations:

These are manufacturer estimates in the order guide, not independent road-test results. Check the exact drivetrain and trim of a specific truck before applying a figure to it.

Ford’s 2025 U.S. Maverick product page lists 2,000 lb of base towing and up to 4,000 lb of maximum available towing. The 4,000 lb figure is a configuration-dependent maximum, not a towing rating for every Hybrid; confirm the rating for the particular vehicle and equipment.

Ford lists the bed at 54.4 inches long at the floor, 53.3 inches wide between the sidewalls and 42.6 inches wide at the wheelhouses. These are manufacturer dimensions; the narrower wheelhouse measurement is the relevant width where the wheel housings intrude.
Cabin technology
Ford lists a 13.2-inch center display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility for the 2025 Maverick. These are product-page specifications, not findings from an independent evaluation or stated reasons for TopSpeed’s award.
