How many were planned, and what did Aston Martin say about the engine?
Aston Martin announced a maximum production run of 88 motorcycles. The same launch release quotes Brough Superior CEO Thierry Henriette: “We are particularly proud of the new engine type, with a crankcase fully machined from solid billet aluminium, which is a unique feature for a production motorcycle.” Aston Martin’s executive vice president and chief creative officer Marek Reichman described the riding position as part of the design, saying the rider would “literally feel as though they are part of the track when laying atop the AMB 001 Pro.” These are company launch-release statements, not independent evaluations.
