It is a personalized restoration of an owner’s Porsche 911 Type 964, reworked by Singer with a twin-turbo engine, a six-speed manual and a design inspired by Porsche’s 934.5 endurance racer. Singer’s first completed example, Sorcerer, is specified at 710 HP (SAE Net)—but there is no standard price tag or confirmed number of open commission slots.
What the Singer DLS Turbo actually is
DLS Turbo is a restoration and reimagining service for customer-owned Porsche 911 Type 964s, not a factory production model. Singer says the Type 964 was manufactured from 1989 to 1994. An owner supplies the donor car; Singer disassembles it to its steel monocoque, assesses and strengthens the chassis, then rebuilds and modifies it around the owner’s choices. Singer introduced the service in June 2023 and announced Sorcerer as its first completed DLS Turbo in January 2026.
The design draws on the Porsche 934.5, a late-1970s endurance racer. The result is intended to unite that competition-car influence with a highly personalized road or track configuration. Singer founder, executive chairman and creative director Rob Dickinson described the company’s aim as celebrating the 911’s development on road and track while exploring turbocharging the engine developed through the DLS program.
How much horsepower does the DLS Turbo make?
For Sorcerer, Singer lists a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six producing 710 HP (SAE Net), with a 9,000 rpm redline. Singer says the engine is based on the Type 964 unit and uses four valves per cylinder, variable turbine geometry, water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders and an electrically powered horizontal fan. These are Singer’s published specifications, not independent test results.

That completed-car figure is distinct from the roughly 700-horsepower estimate reported by Car and Driver when Singer launched the program in 2023. Singer’s current featured DLS Turbo build pages also list 553 ft-lb (750 Nm), but those are specifications for the configurations shown on those pages, not an independently measured result for every commission.
Manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and modern controls
Sorcerer pairs the engine with a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Singer says its ABS, traction control and electronic stability control were developed with Bosch. The combination places a traditional driver-operated transmission and rear-drive layout alongside electronic assistance; it does not make the car a factory-standard Porsche with a fixed equipment package.

Road-focused or track-focused: what changes?
Singer describes two aerodynamic directions. The track-oriented setup has a high-downforce adjustable rear wing and a larger front splitter. The road-oriented treatment uses a ducktail and a front fascia designed to reduce drag. Owners may request both configurations to be switchable, according to Singer; that is an available commission choice, not a claim that every car includes both.
Other decisions are also specific to the individual build, including exterior details and cabin materials. There is no standardized option-price sheet or apples-to-apples published comparison of completed customer commissions. The meaningful comparison is what each owner requests, the donor car and its condition, the chosen aero and the scope of Singer’s work on that particular car.

What does a Singer DLS Turbo cost?
There is no universal sticker price in Singer’s published information. Singer says each restoration is unique and that pricing depends on the owner’s requests. A figure attributed to a different Singer commission, or a reported sale price for another car, would not establish the price of a DLS Turbo order. The cost of a specific commission must be treated as owner- and build-specific.
Can you buy or commission one now?
Singer says DLS Turbo services are limited to 99 restorations. That is the program’s stated cap, not a count of cars already completed or a guarantee that a commission slot is currently available. Singer’s announcement of Sorcerer as the first completed example in January 2026 confirms at least one completion, but the cited information does not establish how many places remain.

- Brand new boxes. Real rubber tires. True-to-scale detail. Factory sealed case. Officially licensed product. Detailed exteriors, interiors. Die-cast metal body and chassis. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Each item is approximately 2.5-3.5 inches long. Each model is packed in an individual blister pack. Each kit comes with an Auto-Lift in pegable packaging. PLEASE NOTE: Might come with a possible chase car instead of one of the cars in a set, but it is not guaranteed.
A commission starts with an owner’s Type 964 rather than a new car supplied from a regular model range. Anyone considering one would need to confirm directly with Singer whether it is accepting a commission and what donor-car, specification and pricing requirements apply.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the DLS Turbo road legal?
Singer offers a road-oriented aerodynamic configuration, but that description does not establish registration or homologation in a particular country. Road legality depends on the applicable jurisdiction and the individual car’s approval and registration status. Singer’s published material cited here does not settle that question for any specific market.
