Despite the original headline’s “V8” wording, the reporting identifies the engine as a V10. The latest account also describes a car still being debugged, not a finished build.
What is the “Volvoghini”?
It is a heavily modified Volvo 240/244 built by YouTuber and builder Peter Björck. The recognizable 1975 Volvo body is wrapped around a bespoke mid-engine conversion: a Lamborghini V10 mounted behind the passenger compartment, with twin turbochargers and an all-wheel-drive system.
That combination—not a bolt-in engine swap—is the defining idea. The contrast is between the 240’s familiar shape and the custom chassis and drivetrain underneath. The project is also described in coverage as a “Volvo 240 AWD V10 Twin Turbo” and a “mid-engine AWD Volvo 240.”
Why the V8 headline is wrong
The supplied headline calls the engine a Lambo V8, but The Drive’s October 5, 2026 account identifies it as a Lamborghini V10 and describes it as twin-turbocharged. The Drive’s headline also says V10, even though its URL slug contains “v8”; Autoblog’s October 6 follow-up likewise identifies a V10. The reporting therefore supports V10, not V8.

How fast and how heavy is it?
The Drive reports an eighth-mile pass of 5.3 seconds at 137 mph. Those are reported figures, not an independently verified timing record in the available coverage.
The same account gives the car’s current weight as 1,437 kg, or about 3,167 lb. Björck’s stated goal was to bring the finished weight near 1,000 kg, with further carbon-fiber parts anticipated. That figure is a target, not the car’s reported current weight or an achieved result.

What has been changed to make the build work?
Custom engine hardware
An earlier project overview describes forged connecting rods and pistons, plus a custom billet intake manifold with 20 injector ports. These details illustrate the extent of the engine work; they do not establish that the parts are available as a retail package or compatible with other vehicles.
AWD controls and ongoing troubleshooting
The Drive reports that Björck rewired the MoTeC ECU for the AWD system while working through ECU, ABS, and electrical issues. The account describes the front wheels getting traction after that work, but does not establish that all debugging is complete. The latest reported status should therefore be read as a project in progress, rather than proof that every system is fully sorted.

What the reported numbers do—and don’t—show
- Performance: The reported 5.3-second eighth-mile run at 137 mph gives a snapshot of the car’s performance; it is not presented here as an independently verified record.
- Weight: The reported 1,437 kg is the current figure in The Drive’s account. The roughly 1,000 kg figure is Björck’s aim, not a measured outcome.
- Completion: The ECU, ABS, and electrical work described in the latest account indicate that development was still underway when it was published.
Because the latest account is time-sensitive and the original video timing records were not independently reviewed for this article, the reported figures and troubleshooting status should be attributed to that coverage rather than treated as independently confirmed measurements or a final build specification.
