What car was the Turbo Interceptor in The Wraith?
It was the Dodge M4S, a mid-engine concept car associated with PPG pace-car work. A specialist history identifies it as the 1986 PPG pace car and says Charlie Sheen drove it in The Wraith (PPG Pace Cars). The name “Turbo Interceptor” belongs to the car’s film identity; M4S is the name used for the concept.
The available history links the car to the movie, but does not provide a primary production account of how it was used during filming. It therefore supports the connection, not detailed claims about the number of cars used or how the film car was prepared.
Was the Dodge M4S a real car?
Yes. The M4S was a one-off concept, not a production Dodge model. PPG Pace Cars credits Dodge designer Bob Ackerman and PPG sponsorship, and says Michigan Specialized Vehicles Inc., 3-D Industries Inc., and Special Projects were involved in construction. Those production-history details are reported by the catalog, which identifies itself as unofficial; they are not presented here as verified Dodge or PPG corporate records.

How was the M4S built?
PPG Pace Cars describes a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine. Its account says the engine had two Garrett T25 turbochargers and a Cosworth-tuned DOHC, 16-valve cylinder head. These are catalog-reported details, not manufacturer-verified specifications.
How fast was the Dodge M4S?
In an article published August 4, 2021, PPG Pace Cars reported the following performance and aerodynamic figures. They should be read as that publisher’s reported numbers, not as independently verified test results.

Rocketfin’s specialist catalog records a 1:25-scale resin model kit based on the film car and describes it as a limited run of 100. The catalog warns that it may no longer be available; it does not establish current stock at any retailer (Rocketfin model-kit catalog). If considering a secondhand listing, check the scale, resin condition, parts completeness, required assembly and painting, seller, and current availability.
