Japanese custom house Custom Works Zon connected the engines with a primary chain and built a new frame around the unusual drivetrain.
What is the Vita?
The Vita is a custom motorcycle built by Custom Works Zon from the Royal Enfield Classic 650 platform. New Atlas reported that it appeared at the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show as part of Royal Enfield’s Custom World project in December 2025. The production Classic 650 uses one parallel-twin engine; the Vita’s two-engine layout and extensively reworked chassis make it a bespoke build, not a stock-bike conversion described as a bolt-on modification. New Atlas’ feature covers the build.
For context, Royal Enfield lists the India-market Classic 650’s single engine at 647.95 cc, with maximum power of 34.6 kW at 7,250 rpm and maximum torque of 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. These are manufacturer specifications for the production motorcycle in India, not measured figures for the Vita. Royal Enfield’s India Classic 650 page provides the specifications.
Is it one four-cylinder engine or two twin engines?
It is two complete parallel-twin engines. Each is described as a 648 cc air-cooled unit, so the four-cylinder label counts the cylinders across the pair. Calling it a single four-cylinder engine would misstate how the powerplant is arranged.

How does the Vita’s dual-engine drivetrain work?
Custom Works Zon mounted the engines one above the other and connected them with a primary chain on the left side. The forward engine’s transmission was removed, and its crankcase was shortened; in the described arrangement, that engine does not need its own gearbox. The builder staggered the engines vertically to bring them closer together and keep the overall package compact, according to New Atlas.
The available account does not provide a measured output for the completed motorcycle or an independent performance test. The presence of two donor engines alone does not establish that the Vita makes twice the production bike’s power or delivers any particular speed or acceleration.

What else changed from the production Classic 650?
Frame and front end
The original frame was replaced with a hardtail steel frame. Custom Works Zon fabricated a girder front end from 12 mm steel plates, and the feature reports a 26-inch front wheel. Detachable lower frame rails allow the engines to be removed and reinstalled.
Fuel, controls, and materials
The fuel reservoir sits beneath the seat, while electronics occupy the area where a conventional fuel tank would normally be. The build also uses mahogany details, a Damascus-steel jockey shifter, and an aluminum bird sculpture. Exterior parts were left unpainted to show the materials.

Brakes and named components
The feature names Hot Dock discs, Performance Machine brake calipers, and Neo Factory master cylinders. It does not specify component model numbers or establish that these parts fit a stock Classic 650.
What the builder said about the design
New Atlas reported Custom Works Zon founder Yuichi Yoshizawa’s explanation for adding the second engine: “The Classic 650 engine is beautiful, powerful, and full of character – but I wanted to elevate its presence even further. That’s how I arrived at the idea of using two engines.”
On the unfinished surfaces, Yoshizawa said: “To celebrate the raw character of each material – steel, aluminum, and wood – I left all the exterior parts unpainted,”

The cited feature does not state a build cost, measured output, road-test result, or the motorcycle’s sale status, road legality, or availability as a customer commission. Those details should not be assumed from its appearance at a custom show or its connection to the Classic 650.
