The quickest new Toyota in the available 2026 comparison is the GR Supra automatic, at a reported 3.9 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. But the current evidence supports a five-model ranking—not a reliable top ten—and the figures come from different kinds of sources. Here are the results, what they do and do not establish, and how to check which models are actually available to buy.
Why this is not a definitive top 10
This is a U.S. look at 2026-model-year Toyotas, with availability checked against Toyota’s model-year lineup and pricing resources as of October 8, 2026. The evidence available for this comparison does not establish ten Toyotas in a consistent, comparable 0–60 mph order. Autoblog publishes a five-model ranking; Car and Driver supplies separate tests of the GR Corolla and RAV4 GR Sport. Treat the ranking below as Autoblog’s reported comparison, not as a uniform series of independent tests.
“Quickest” here means the shortest stated or tested time to reach 60 mph from a standstill. A figure can change with transmission, tires, conditions, and test method, so source and configuration matter. Toyota’s 2026 lineup page identifies models in the model year but does not establish dealer inventory. Toyota’s full-line pricing index, dated October 2, 2026, links to the current 2026 pricing sheet.
The five-model ranking Autoblog reports
Autoblog’s 2026 list orders five new Toyotas from slower to quicker using reported 0–60 mph times, with power used to break ties. The results below are its figures, not results from one common test session.

Autoblog also reports 4.2 seconds to 60 mph for the GR Supra manual. That is slower than its automatic figure, so the transmission choice changes the Supra’s result in this ranking. The GR Corolla is the clearest example of why figures from different sources should not be merged: Car and Driver recorded 4.2 seconds in a test of a 2026 GR Corolla Premium Plus with a six-speed manual, while Autoblog reports 4.9 seconds for the model. Car and Driver also measured 12.8 seconds at 108 mph for that tested car over the quarter-mile. Those results describe a particular test car and test, not a correction to Autoblog’s ranking.
What separate instrumented tests add
GR Corolla: a faster result in Car and Driver’s test
Car and Driver’s June 23, 2026 test of a 2026 GR Corolla Premium Plus with a six-speed manual recorded 0–60 mph in 4.2 seconds. The difference from Autoblog’s 4.9-second figure may reflect differences in configuration or test method; the available figures do not justify averaging them or declaring one universally applicable.

RAV4 GR Sport: quick for a crossover, but not part of the five-model list
Car and Driver’s August 11, 2026 test recorded 5.1 seconds to 60 mph for a 2026 RAV4 GR Sport. The tested plug-in hybrid has 324 horsepower and wore all-season tires; Car and Driver noted that a summer-tire fitment is available. This individual result does not establish the RAV4’s position in a complete ranking of new Toyotas.
What to know about the Toyota models in the comparison
GR Supra
In Autoblog’s ranking, the automatic GR Supra has the quickest reported time, 3.9 seconds to 60 mph; the manual is reported at 4.2 seconds. These are source-reported comparison figures, not a uniform test by Toyota. Toyota’s 2026 lineup page lists the GR Supra among that model year’s vehicles.

GR Corolla
Toyota’s September 25, 2025 announcement describes the 2026 GR Corolla as a turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, GR-FOUR all-wheel drive, and a choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. The announcement gave the base manual a $39,920 starting MSRP, excluding a stated $1,195 dealer processing and handling fee, and expected dealership arrival in fall 2025. That launch price is not a substitute for the current pricing sheet. The independent 4.2-second test cited above is specifically for a Premium Plus manual.
GRMN Corolla
Toyota announced the GRMN Corolla on July 29, 2026 as a track-focused model with 300 horsepower, a $64,360 starting MSRP, and worldwide production limited to 730 units. Its announcement does not make it a verified entry in a comparable top-ten acceleration ranking, and a production limit does not establish that one is available from a local dealer.

GR86: distinguish model years
Toyota’s June 1, 2026 announcement concerns the 2027 GR86, not a 2026 model. Toyota lists a 2.4-liter boxer four-cylinder with 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft, manual and automatic transmissions, and estimates 0–60 mph in 6.1 seconds for the manual and 6.6 seconds for the automatic. The announcement expected summer 2026 arrival and said pricing and specifications would follow. These are Toyota estimates for a different model year, not test results that can be inserted into the 2026 ranking.

Use Toyota’s full-line pricing index to open the 2026 pricing sheet, dated October 2, 2026. Use that sheet rather than treating an older launch MSRP as today’s complete price; the launch figure for the GR Corolla, for example, excluded its stated processing and handling fee.

Check local dealer listings or contact a dealer for the exact trim and transmission. A national lineup or pricing page does not prove local stock, and the GRMN Corolla’s limited worldwide production makes local availability a separate question.

When comparing acceleration, keep the source, model year, trim, transmission, tires, and test-versus-estimate status beside each time. Do not treat differently sourced figures as a single controlled test series.
