The Lanzante 95-59 is a planned, limited-production, three-seat supercar from British specialist Lanzante. Its name commemorates the company’s role in the McLaren F1 GTR’s 1995 Le Mans victory, while its central driving position and announced V8 powertrain give it a distinct place among modern road-going supercars.
What does “95-59” mean?
The name joins two details from Lanzante’s Le Mans history: 1995, the year the team ran the winning McLaren F1 GTR at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and 59, the race number of that victorious car. Lanzante plans to build 59 examples of the new car worldwide. The company announced the name and its connection to the anniversary in June 2025 (Lanzante’s naming announcement).
Dean Lanzante described the project as “the result of everything I personally and we, as a business, have learned and experienced over three decades since winning Le Mans.”
What kind of car is the Lanzante 95-59?
It is Lanzante’s own bespoke project, not a McLaren model. Lanzante says the car uses a re-engineered carbon-fibre monocoque based on a current McLaren platform. The company also expressly states that the 95-59 is not sponsored by, associated with, approved, endorsed by, or affiliated with McLaren Group Holdings Limited.
Car and Driver interpreted the visible design cues as suggesting that the underlying platform is the McLaren 750S. That is the outlet’s assessment, not the more specific platform identification in Lanzante’s announcement; the manufacturer describes it only as a “current McLaren platform.”

How are the seats arranged?
The 95-59 has three seats: the driver sits centrally, with a passenger seat on either side. The layout recalls the McLaren F1 and places the driver in a different position from the conventional left- or right-hand-drive arrangement. Lanzante says the car also has luggage space beneath the front clam, alongside a 75-litre fuel tank. No verified real-world range figure has been established, so the tank capacity alone should not be treated as a range estimate.
What power and performance has Lanzante announced?
Lanzante’s July 2025 reveal gave the following initial targets and specifications. They are manufacturer-announced figures, not independently measured test results.

The reveal and later figures appear in Lanzante’s Goodwood announcement and its subsequent options update. The available material does not establish a verified acceleration time or top speed, so the announced power and target weight should not be used to infer either.

What options and customisation are planned?
Lanzante’s later update lists a high-downforce option featuring a high-level fixed rear wing and roof-mounted intake, as well as new five-spoke centre-lock wheels. The company also describes bespoke interior materials and further customisation. These are announced choices; the update does not provide a complete options list or prices for individual specifications.

How many will be made, and when is production due?
Lanzante plans a global run of 59 cars. Its later options update says production is planned to start at the beginning of 2027. The update’s page displays “14 August” without a year, so its publication year cannot be confirmed from that page alone; the production timing should be understood as Lanzante’s stated plan, not confirmation that production has begun.

Why does the 95-59 matter to enthusiasts?
The 95-59 brings together a specific competition legacy and a highly unusual road-car layout: a central driving seat, two flanking passenger seats, and a low-volume commission from a company known for specialist supercar work. Lanzante is based in Petersfield, England, and describes its wider business as tailored supercar commissions plus maintenance and preparation for high-performance and historic road and track cars.
