Across 24 Grands Prix, nine drivers from seven teams reached the podium—an unusually broad set of podium finishers, though that figure alone does not show how close the field was.
Who won the 2025 Formula 1 championship?
Norris finished first in the FIA’s final Drivers’ Championship classification with 423 points. McLaren topped the Constructors’ Championship, repeating its team title from the previous season. The final standings are available in the FIA’s 2025 classifications.
What happened across the 2025 F1 season?
The campaign was the championship’s 75th anniversary season. It began in Australia on 16 March and concluded in Abu Dhabi on 7 December, with 24 rounds on the official calendar. The FIA calendar announcement set out the schedule, while Formula 1’s season review records the title outcomes and podium spread.
The title story was not limited to the champion: Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen also won races, alongside Norris. The official calendar’s results show those victories spread across the season rather than concentrated in a single driver’s win total. For the full round-by-round winners and finishing order, consult Formula 1’s official 2025 calendar and race results.

How many races were in the 2025 F1 season?
There were 24 Grands Prix. Australia opened the championship on 16 March, and Abu Dhabi hosted the final round on 7 December. Those dates and the 24-round schedule are confirmed by the FIA’s calendar announcement.
What the podium numbers do—and do not—tell you
Nine drivers representing seven teams reached the podium during the 24 races, according to Formula 1’s official season review. That is a useful measure of how many drivers shared top-three finishes over the year. It does not, by itself, establish that every team was equally competitive or that the cars had similar pace; those claims require comparable qualifying, race-pace, and results data.

The FIA published a 2025 Formula One Sporting Regulations issue dated 17 October 2024. That document is available as the 2025 Sporting Regulations, Issue 2. The material cited here does not establish which provisions changed materially from earlier issues, so it would be misleading to characterize specific 2025 rule changes without comparing the applicable regulation editions.
