The cited Nissan sources confirm an official unveiling on April 14, 2026; they do not identify a first spy sighting, its date or location, or how it relates to the reveal. Without a directly attributable report or photograph establishing those circumstances, “spied in public for the first time” should not be treated as the latest verified news. The substantiated development is that Nissan has now publicly unveiled the electric Juke.

Where will the electric Juke be built?
Nissan says the Juke EV will be built at its Sunderland plant in the United Kingdom. The company presents the factory as part of its wider global EV strategy. This is the confirmed production location; the announcement does not provide a start-of-production date or customer-delivery schedule.
How far will it go, and when can buyers order one?
Nissan’s cited reveal does not state the battery capacity, driving range, charging speed or time, connector type, price, order date, or delivery date. Those figures cannot be reliably inferred from another Nissan EV or from the existing Juke’s specifications.

The announcement confirms a major change in powertrain for the next-generation Juke, but it is not yet enough to compare ownership costs or day-to-day usability with the current hybrid. A meaningful comparison will need Nissan’s specifications and sales information for the EV, including range, charging, price, and availability. Until those are published, buyers should treat the electric Juke as a confirmed future model with key purchasing details still unannounced.

Nissan also says the Juke has attracted 1.5 million customers across Europe since its 2010 launch. That is the company’s figure, reported in its 2026 announcement, rather than an independently stated sales tally.
