Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →The strongest current, manufacturer-documented three-cylinder cars in the available evidence are Toyota’s GR Corolla and GR Yaris—but the ratings depend on market, and the evidence does not support a reliable list of ten cars you can buy today. In the U.S., Toyota rates the 2026 GR Corolla at 300 hp. Toyota’s Japan-market 2026 GR Yaris is rated at 304 PS, while Toyota Europe lists 280 DIN hp for its updated GR Yaris. These are not interchangeable market specifications or units.
Why this is not a verified top-ten list
A ranking of ten cars currently for sale needs comparable output figures and evidence that each car is actually offered in a defined market. The available manufacturer material supports two current Toyota examples, with market-specific GR Yaris specifications; it does not establish ten distinct, purchasable cars. Filling out a top ten with historic models, unverified entries or hybrid-system figures would make the ranking misleading.

“Buy today” also depends on where you live and whether used cars count. Toyota’s announcement of an expected U.S. dealership arrival and a starting MSRP for the 2026 GR Corolla is not a live inventory check or evidence of the price a buyer will pay.

GR Corolla vs. GR Yaris: which is more powerful?
For the U.S.-market 2026 GR Corolla, Toyota gives a 300 hp rating. Toyota Europe lists the updated GR Yaris at 280 DIN hp. Those market-specific ratings make the Corolla’s published figure higher than the European Yaris figure, but they do not establish a universal comparison: the Japanese Type 26 Yaris is rated at 304 PS, a different unit and a different market specification. Check the precise model year, market and unit rather than treating all GR Yaris ratings as one global number.
Both models use a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline three-cylinder and offer manual and automatic transmissions in the cited specifications. Toyota’s GR Corolla announcement also describes GR-FOUR all-wheel drive, three selectable drive modes and front and rear Torsen limited-slip differentials. Toyota says the 2026 Corolla received added structural adhesive and a secondary air intake duct; those are manufacturer-described changes, not independent comparative test results.

Why some famous three-cylinder figures do not belong in the current ranking
BMW i8: a historical production car
BMW’s 2013 announcement rated the i8’s three-cylinder gasoline engine at 231 hp and described it as the company’s first production model with a three-cylinder gasoline engine. That is useful historical context, not evidence that a new i8 is currently available. It belongs in a historical or used-car discussion, not an unqualified current-new-car list. BMW Group’s i8 announcement.
Koenigsegg Gemera: combined system output is not engine output
A Koenigsegg-hosted 2023 TFG specification document gives 1,400 hp for a combined figure involving electric motors and a three-cylinder engine. That number is not the standalone output of the three-cylinder engine, and the available material does not verify that this configuration is currently offered for sale. It should not be ranked as a 1,400-hp three-cylinder-engine car. Koenigsegg TFG specification document.
Quick Recap

You can observe the operation of the 5-Cylinder Radial engine during the whole process. It is not only a beautiful decoration, but also a simulation dynamic model that can simulate the operation of a real 5-Cylinder Radial engine. Even when not in motion, it is an impressive machine to see.
- Excellent Learning Activity: This kit is not recommended for unsupervised children under the age of 14, due to its small parts. However, it provides a great opportunity for adults to spend time with children. The child will learn to understand and follow illustrated instructions, manipulate parts and basic tools, and to know the accomplishment of a job well-done. It fosters an appreciation for the ingenuity in today’s technology as well as the need for it in coming generations.

What to check before buying
- Market and model year: GR Yaris output differs between the cited European and Japanese specifications; do not assume either applies to another country.
- Units: hp, DIN hp and PS are not labels to swap casually. Compare like-for-like published specifications and keep the original unit visible.
- Local availability: Manufacturer announcements and specifications do not confirm local dealer stock, transaction price or order eligibility.
- Trim-specific equipment: Toyota lists 225/40ZR18 Bridgestone POTENZA RACE tires as standard on certain Japanese Type 26 GR Yaris trims. Confirm the exact trim and local fitment before using that specification to choose replacement tires.
