The YANGWANG U9 Xtreme has the highest power claim in the available evidence: more than 3,000 horsepower, according to a BYD/YANGWANG-affiliated source. But the evidence does not support a reliable top-ten ranking. It provides five production-intended vehicles with power claims, and those figures are not all equally settled: Lotus labels the Evija’s figure a simulation-based target, while the U9 Xtreme figure is a brand-affiliated claim. Here is the ranking the evidence can support, with those qualifications made explicit.
How this ranking works
This comparison ranks manufacturer-claimed peak system power for production-intended, all-electric road vehicles. It keeps each figure in the unit published by its source rather than converting between hp, bhp and PS. Those units are closely related but not identical, so the order is a practical comparison of headline claims, not a precision engineering measurement. A stated target or announcement claim is identified as such, rather than treated as a confirmed final specification.
The comparison includes limited-series road cars, but excludes announced models whose production status and final specifications are not established. It does not mix a model’s different variants or treat a separate track-focused variant’s record as if it belonged to the ranked car.

What the ranking means for each car
1. YANGWANG U9 Xtreme: highest claim, limited-run status
The U9 Xtreme leads on the published power claim: over 3,000 horsepower. That number comes from a BYD/YANGWANG-affiliated source, so it should be read as a brand-affiliated claim, not an independently established measurement. The Xtreme is a limited-run variant; its figure should not be transferred to other U9 versions.

BYD publicized a 472.41 km/h speed record in 2025 for the separate U9 Track Edition. That record is not a top-speed figure for the Xtreme and does not establish the Xtreme’s speed.
2. Rimac Nevera R: a distinct, higher-output Nevera
Rimac gives the Nevera R 2,107 hp, placing it above the standard Nevera’s 1,914 hp. The company describes four motors, one driving each wheel, and says the R’s worldwide production is limited to 40 cars. Its acceleration and top-speed figures in the table are Rimac claims, not results measured under a common test protocol across all five vehicles.

3. Lotus Evija: a target, not a settled production output
Lotus lists 2,011 bhp and a production limit of 130 examples, but it explicitly marks detailed specifications as simulation-based targets. The power figure therefore cannot be treated as a confirmed final output on the same footing as Lucid’s final production specification or Rimac’s published model figures.
4. Rimac Nevera: do not merge it with the R
The standard Nevera is listed at 1,914 hp, with a 150-unit limit. Its four motors individually drive the wheels, and Rimac says its torque-vectoring system updates allocation more than 100 times per second. Those details describe the standard Nevera’s control system; the R remains a separate, higher-output variant.

5. Lucid Air Sapphire: high output in a road-going sedan
Lucid announced final production specifications for the three-motor Air Sapphire on August 8, 2023. Alongside its 1,234 hp output, Lucid listed an EPA-estimated range of 427 miles and 1,430 lb-ft of torque. Those figures give the sedan a different context from the limited-run hypercars, even though they do not change its position in a power ranking.
Why this is not a defensible top ten
The available evidence does not establish ten candidates with comparable, authoritative power claims and confirmed production status. Adding models based on older third-party roundups or unverified figures would create a longer list, not a more reliable ranking. The five entries above are the candidates supported by the available model-specific evidence; their differing source units and claim status also mean the rank order should be read as a comparison of published figures, not a controlled test result.

Where the announced DENZA Z fits
DENZA announced the all-electric Z in July 2026 with claimed system power above 2,000 PS and sub-1.7-second 0–62 mph acceleration. The announcement does not establish customer deliveries, final specifications or a settled production volume. It is therefore a notable announced contender, but not a confirmed production car to insert into this ranking.
