The 20-car Mansour Ojjeh McLaren collection is no longer for sale: dealer Tom Hartley Jnr announced on 27 August 2025 that a single buyer had agreed to acquire it intact. The buyer’s identity and the price were not disclosed. The collection was assembled around a distinctive rule: each car was the final chassis of its model.

Is the Mansour Ojjeh McLaren collection still for sale?

No. Tom Hartley Jnr, the dealer handling the collection for the Ojjeh family, announced that the sale had been agreed on 27 August 2025, with all 20 cars going to one buyer. The dealer did not disclose the transaction price. Tom Hartley Jnr’s announcement is the source for the sale result and terms.

Motor Sport Magazine reported the following day that the buyer’s name and location were also undisclosed. It cited industry estimates above $70 million (£51.8 million), but that figure is an estimate—not a confirmed sale price. The collection’s present custody and any plans for public display have not been disclosed in the cited reporting. Motor Sport Magazine’s follow-up reports the buyer and estimate.

What made the collection unusual?

Mansour Ojjeh was a French-Saudi businessman, TAG executive and McLaren shareholder. He died in June 2021, aged 68. He began as a Ferrari collector, then turned his attention to McLaren road cars as the company developed that line. Business Day’s 30 June 2025 feature provides this background.

Every car was the final chassis of its model

The collection’s organizing principle was to secure the last chassis number produced for each model. Tom Hartley Jnr described all 20 cars as final examples. Most remained unused and factory-fresh, according to the dealer; Classic & Sports Car reported that almost all were unused and maintained by McLaren. That distinction matters: the F1 and P1 GTR had seen some use.

A signature shade called Yquem

Ojjeh specified the collection in a bespoke color called Yquem, later known as Mansour Orange. Classic & Sports Car reported that other customers were not permitted to order the shade. The color gave the cars a visual link, while the final-chassis rule gave the collection its underlying logic.

A family keepsake, not just a set of rare cars

Kathy Ojjeh, Mansour’s widow, described the cars as a family treasure and a reminder of watching him design each one to his specifications. Her statement appeared in Business Day on 30 June 2025: “The ‘Last of Legends’ car collection is a treasure for our family — a reminder of the hours we witnessed Mansour designing each car to his specifications.”

Which cars were in the collection?

The dealer highlighted the P1 GTR, Speedtail, Senna variants, Sabre and Elva. Classic & Sports Car’s gallery also identifies models including the 650S Le Mans, P1, 650S Can-Am Spider, 675LT variants, 600LT coupe and Spider, 620R, 720S Le Mans and 765LT variants. These are examples, not a complete inventory.

Why the 1998 McLaren F1 was the centerpiece

The collection’s 1998 McLaren F1 was reported as the last F1 built. Classic & Sports Car identified it as chassis 048075 and reported 1,810 km (1,125 miles) on the odometer—low mileage, but not zero. The publication also listed original handbooks, service and warranty information, fitted luggage, a spare steering wheel, a tool chest and roll, and a TAG Heuer commemorative watch as accompanying items. These details come from the publication’s coverage, not a first-hand inspection for this article. Classic & Sports Car’s collection coverage includes the gallery and F1 details.
