The report gives no measured top speed or test method, so “fastest” is a launch-era description—not a verified mph figure. The three models pair a 999cc engine with selectable 2WD and 4WD, while their seating, cargo-bed layouts and equipment distinguish their roles.
Which 2024 Mule models did Kawasaki introduce?
The launch report covered three model-year 2024 machines: the Mule Pro-FX 1000, Mule Pro-FXR 1000 and Mule Pro-FXT 1000. The FX and FXR are three-person wide-body models; the FXT can switch between a three-passenger arrangement and seating for six.
Successful Farming’s June 9, 2023 article called them Kawasaki’s fastest Mules, but supplied neither a top-speed number nor a measurement procedure. That wording should not be treated as an independently tested speed claim.
What engine, drivetrain and chassis specifications were reported?
Successful Farming described a 999cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke parallel-twin engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and selectable 2WD or 4WD. It reported 10.9 inches of front wheel travel and 10 inches at the rear across the lineup.

Successful Farming did not specify the exact trim/configuration responsible for each end of the clearance ranges in the article details summarized here. It also noted self-leveling suspension on certain models; confirm the equipment on the exact trim rather than assuming it is standard across a model family.

How do the FX, FXR and FXT differ in purpose?
Mule Pro-FX 1000
The FX is the three-seat utility configuration. Its reported 1,000-pound cargo capacity makes it the straightforward choice in this group for buyers who prioritize carrying loads over adding a second passenger row. The launch report listed the FX 1000 HD at $18,299.
Mule Pro-FXR 1000
The FXR retains three-person seating but stands apart in the reported tire setup: 27-inch bias-ply tires, compared with 26-inch tires on 12-inch rims for the FX and FXT. Successful Farming listed launch prices of $16,599 for the FXR 1000 and $17,699 for the FXR 1000 LE.

- Easy to install - comes with all necessary hardware and instructions
- Makrolon windshields are hard coated on both sides for extreme durability
- Protects against chemical and UV attack
- Contoured to hood with full length rubber seal for a great fit
Mule Pro-FXT 1000
The FXT’s defining feature is its convertible seating: it can carry three or six people. In six-passenger mode, the reported cargo capacity falls to 350 pounds. That trade-off matters when choosing between extra seats and bed utility. The launch report gave a $20,299–$23,399 price range for the FXT 1000 lineup.
What came with the FXT Ranch editions?
Successful Farming reported that the Mule Pro-FXT 1000 LE Ranch and Platinum Ranch editions included a WARN VRX 45 winch with 50 feet of steel rope and a stated 4,500-pound capacity. The report does not establish that the same winch came on every FXT trim. Buyers considering a particular machine should verify the exact factory equipment and winch model.
