The sources do not support a fair, fully comparable ranking of ten distinct current production electric cars. Here is a qualified comparison of the quickest substantiated contenders, with manufacturer claims separated from instrumented tests and rollout conventions made explicit.
How to read these 0–60 mph times
These figures combine manufacturer specifications with tests from Car and Driver and MotorTrend. They are not a single leaderboard: different publications may use different test procedures, and a one-foot rollout can make a reported time shorter. Treat the times as source-specific results, not as a definitive head-to-head order.
“One-foot rollout” means the clock starts after the car has traveled the first foot. A time measured without rollout therefore is not directly equivalent to a rollout-adjusted time. Tires and optional packages matter too, as the Lucid and Porsche results below show.

Some entries are separate tests or specifications of the same model, and the Taycan Turbo S sedan and Cross Turismo are related body styles. The cited evidence does not establish ten distinct current production EVs tested independently on one shared protocol.

What the closest results actually show
Lucid Air Sapphire
Lucid’s 1.89-second figure is a manufacturer specification. Independent publication results vary by test and equipment: Car and Driver reports 2.1 seconds, while MotorTrend measured 1.881 seconds on a 2025 car fitted with the optional Track Tire package. Those are different evidence types and configurations, so the numbers should not be blended into a single “true” time.
Porsche Taycan Turbo GT Weissach
MotorTrend’s 2025 test recorded 1.89 seconds after one-foot rollout and 2.10 seconds without it. Car and Driver reported 1.9 seconds for its 2025 test car with the optional Weissach package. Porsche’s US page for the 2027 model lists 2.1 seconds with launch control as a manufacturer specification. The numbers describe different model years, sources, and methods.

Tesla Model S Plaid
Car and Driver’s 2.1-second test result puts the Plaid among the quickest cars in this comparison. In the same cited comparison, the Air Sapphire was quicker at 100 mph and through the quarter-mile; a 0–60 time alone does not describe acceleration across the full run.
Why the Rimac Nevera is not ranked here
Rimac’s official Nevera page gives acceleration to 100 km/h, not 60 mph. It displays 1.81 seconds for one power specification and 1.72 seconds for another. Those figures use a different distance and cannot be inserted directly into a 0–60 mph ranking. Rimac Nevera specifications

Can these cars be ranked precisely?
Only within the limits of each source. A 0.006-second difference on MotorTrend’s leaderboard is a difference between that publication’s recorded results, not proof that one car will always beat the other. The results are not from a shared test session, and rollout, tires, launch settings, model year, and configuration all affect the comparison. For a useful reading, prioritize the source and conditions alongside the number—not just the place in the list.
