Its January 17, 2025 frames around Subaytah bring together the rally’s scale, Stage 12 atmosphere, portraits and the emotion of the finish. “Coolest” is a matter of taste, so the selections below focus on what makes each kind of scene worth seeking out.
What are the coolest photos of Dakar 2025 in Saudi Arabia?
The official Best Of 2025 gallery is the place to browse the event’s captioned highlights. Rather than treating one frame as objectively best, look for photographs that show different sides of the rally: the scale of a mass start, the surrounding landscape, the people behind the competition and the finish-line payoff.
The gallery’s captions document Stage 12 and finish-ceremony scenes around Subaytah on January 17, 2025, and include subject and photographer-credit details. Those captions make it possible to identify the context of a selected frame rather than relying on the image alone.
What makes the gallery stand out
Mass-start scale
A mass start is a strong choice for showing Dakar as a convoy of competing vehicles rather than a single machine in isolation. The official gallery includes an auto mass-start image; its appeal is the visual density and sense of event scale.

Stage 12 atmosphere
The Stage 12 frames offer a different kind of appeal: atmosphere and setting around the action. These photographs can make the Saudi landscape part of the story, not just a backdrop. Check each caption for the specific scene and location before identifying it more narrowly.
Portraits and human detail
Portraits shift attention from speed and machinery to the people taking part. They provide a more personal counterpoint to the rally’s wide, busy action photographs.
