A 2008 report described a 654 cc KTM engine and a maximum lean angle of 45 degrees. Brudeli Tech later said it sold the Leanster patents to Yamaha in 2017, but that transfer does not establish that Yamaha sold a Brudeli-branded vehicle.
What was the Brudeli Leanster?
The Leanster was a three-wheeled vehicle positioned between a motorcycle and an ATV-style quad. The Brudeli 654L had two wheels at the front and one at the rear. Unlike a conventional car, it did not enclose the rider in a car body; its intended appeal was motorcycle-style riding with a second front wheel. The 2008 coverage described it as a motorcycle variant rather than a car-bike hybrid in the literal sense. New Atlas, September 27, 2008.

How did the 654L lean?
In a turn, the vehicle and its front wheels leaned together, reportedly up to 45 degrees. The 2008 report said the footboards stayed parallel to the ground as the machine leaned. Brudeli Tech described the suspension as “100% mechanical” in its September 26, 2008 press release. That description distinguishes the system from an electronically controlled suspension, but the cited material does not provide enough engineering detail to explain its linkages or quantify how its handling compared with another tilting three-wheeler.
Brudeli Tech framed the 654L as a way to enhance the motorcycle riding experience, intended mainly for normal roads. The company also mentioned gravel, winter roads, tarmac and go-kart tracks. Those are intended-use descriptions, not independent evidence of performance, durability or suitability for every surface. New Atlas also reported a claimed shorter braking distance from the two front wheels, but supplied no test method or measured comparison; that claim should not be treated as a verified safety advantage.

Was the Brudeli Leanster produced, and can you buy one now?
In 2008, New Atlas said the production model would be presented at Intermot and would be available in very limited numbers. Brudeli Tech’s release from the same period also called the 654L an exclusive production model available in very limited numbers. These historical statements support that it was presented as a production vehicle, but the sources do not establish how many were built, whether any are currently for sale, or what a used example might cost. Check the vehicle’s documentation and a specialist seller if evaluating an individual machine.

On December 19, 2017, Brudeli Tech announced that it had completed the sale of patents for the 654L and 625L Leanster vehicles to Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. Brudeli Tech’s announcement establishes the patent transfer as described by the company; it does not show that Yamaha subsequently produced or marketed a Brudeli-branded Leanster.

Parts and ownership checks
The NGK / Bergamaschi 2020–2021 motorcycle catalog lists the Leanster 654L with an NGK LKAR8AI-9 spark plug, stock number 6706. That catalog listing is a parts reference, not proof of present stock or universal fitment. Confirm the exact specification in the individual vehicle’s documentation and with a qualified parts supplier before buying.
