Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf you want an electric car that can credibly replace the Tesla Roadster as a performance benchmark, start with the Rimac Nevera: its manufacturer specification lists 0–60 mph in 1.74 seconds and a 258 mph top speed. The Lucid Air Sapphire is the practical outlier, pairing a published 1.89-second 0–60 mph time with a 427-mile EPA-estimated range and four-door usability. For different priorities, the Pininfarina Battista targets Italian hyper-GT exclusivity, the Lotus Evija targets extreme power in a 130-car run, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package offers the strongest documented everyday specification, and the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore adds four-seat grand touring.
The Tesla Roadster remains the reference point in this comparison, but the supplied manufacturer material does not establish an independently verified production date or test result for it. The alternatives below are therefore compared using the figures their makers publish, with simulation targets and independently timed data kept clearly separate.

How to read this comparison
“Fastest” can mean several different things. Launch acceleration measures how violently a car leaves the line; top speed describes high-speed capability; range, charging and seating determine whether the car can be used beyond a short demonstration run. Production volume indicates scarcity, while price, warranty coverage and service support affect the risk of ownership.
The figures below are not all measured under the same conditions. Some use 0–60 mph, others use 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h), and the Porsche technical sheet also gives a launch-control 0–60 mph result. A manufacturer claim is not interchangeable with an independently timed test, and Lotus explicitly labels its detailed figures as simulation-based targets.

Rimac Nevera: the clearest hypercar answer
The Nevera is the most direct substitute for the Roadster’s extreme-performance brief. Rimac describes it as an “all electric two-seat hypercar,” and its specification sheet lists 0–60 mph in 1.74 seconds and a 258 mph top speed. Those are the most aggressive documented acceleration and maximum-speed figures in this group.
Its drivetrain layout is central to the car’s character. Rimac’s engineering description says four bespoke, permanent-magnet, oil-cooled motors power each wheel individually. That arrangement allows the car to control torque at each wheel rather than relying on one motor per axle, a hardware approach suited to repeatable high-performance traction and high-speed stability.
Rimac states a 490 km range. The figure is presented in kilometres rather than as an EPA estimate, so it should not be converted into an assumed US-market range without a test-cycle qualification. Price, production volume, warranty terms and service coverage are not established in the cited specification material; a buyer should obtain those details directly for the intended market.

Why choose the Nevera
- You want a purpose-built two-seat hypercar rather than a fast luxury sedan or grand tourer.
- You place the greatest weight on launch acceleration and top speed.
- You value a four-motor, individually driven-wheel architecture.
What to verify
The published numbers are manufacturer specifications, not an independently timed comparison with every other car here. Confirm the exact vehicle specification, delivery market, charging support and after-sales arrangements before treating the Nevera as an ownership proposition rather than a performance benchmark.
Lucid Air Sapphire: the practical performance outlier
The Air Sapphire is the strongest alternative for someone who wants hypercar acceleration without giving up the everyday format of a luxury sedan. Lucid publishes 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds, 0–100 mph in 3.84 seconds and an 8.95-second quarter mile at 158 mph. Its published top speed is 205 mph.

- High Quality Material: The coaster is made of environmentally friendly silicone, safe, non-toxic and odorless. Soft with toughness, easily embedded in the cup holder. Very durable, wear-resistant, long service life. High temperature resistance, can withstand 100 ℃ high temperature water cups.
- Wide Compatibility: The coaster has a diameter of 3.15 inches and a height of 1.18 inches, which is widely used in most vehicles, such as SUV, sedan, MPV, etc., as long as the size fits your car cup holder.
- Protection Function: Our car cup holder coaster has a carry handle design and a stand-up ring edge on its edge to effectively prevent food crumbs, drinks and water from leaking out and preventing the car cup holder from getting dirty.Meanwhile,Thickened design effectively prevents the cup holder from being scratched by the cup when driving on bumpy roads and eliminates the annoying thumping sound, making your journey more enjoyable.
- Easy to Use and Clean: With embedded installation, you just need to put it flat on the car cupholder. It is also very quick to remove, there is a small bump on the coaster, pinch it and you can easily remove the coaster. It is very easy to clean, rinse with water or wipe with a wet towel (be careful not to clean with sharp tools).
- 100% Satisfaction: Our products have quality assurance, if you have questions or are not satisfied after receiving the product, don't worry, please contact us as soon as possible, we provide after-sales service.
Its decisive advantage is range: Lucid gives the car a 427-mile EPA-estimated figure. That is a US regulatory estimate, not a universal real-world distance, but it is the clearest usability credential in this set. The car is also described as a fully electric luxury super-sports sedan, making it the natural choice when passengers, a conventional cabin and longer-distance travel matter as much as outright acceleration.
Lucid lists a fully equipped US price of $249,000 before taxes and fees. Because that price is specific to the United States and stated as fully equipped, it should not be compared directly with the UK Porsche price without accounting for currency, tax treatment, equipment and market specification.
Why choose the Air Sapphire
- You need a road car that can serve as a daily luxury vehicle as well as a high-performance machine.
- Range is more important than having a two-seat body or a limited production number.
- You want a complete published performance set, including a quarter-mile result and EPA range estimate.
What to verify
Check the configuration behind the advertised price, local charging compatibility, delivery timing and the service network available where you live. The 427-mile number is an EPA estimate; weather, speed, temperature and wheel choice can change actual range.
Pininfarina Battista: for Italian hyper-GT character
Automobili Pininfarina calls the Battista “the world’s first electric hyper GT” and positions it as a road-legal performance car. In this comparison, its distinction is not a documented acceleration or top-speed record from the cited material; it is the combination of Italian design language, exclusivity and a grand-touring interpretation of the electric hypercar.
The cited Battista page does not provide a complete independently verified comparison table. Acceleration, top speed, range, price and production volume are therefore marked as not stated here rather than filled with figures from another source. That distinction matters when a buyer is comparing a design-led hyper GT with cars that publish detailed test-cycle or specification data.

Why choose the Battista
- Design, coachbuilt presentation and Italian identity are central to the purchase.
- You want a road-legal hyper GT rather than a conventional high-volume performance EV.
- You are comfortable judging the car on exclusivity and experience while requesting the missing technical and ownership data from the manufacturer or retailer.
Lotus Evija: extraordinary power, explicitly provisional numbers
Lotus quotes 2,011 bhp for the all-electric Evija and says production is limited to 130 examples. That combination makes it one of the rarest and most power-focused alternatives in the field.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThere is an important qualification attached to the figures. Lotus states: “Target Figures – The vehicle specifications detailed on this page are target specifications based on simulations.” Acceleration, top speed and range targets should therefore be treated as provisional engineering objectives, not as delivered performance or independently verified test results.
Why choose the Evija
- You want a strictly limited 130-car production run.
- Peak power and rarity matter more than a fully established range or acceleration result.
- You are willing to evaluate a car whose detailed public specifications remain targets.
How to assess the risk
Ask for the final homologated specification, customer-delivery status, charging capability, warranty, service arrangements and independent test data for the exact production car. Do not use the simulation targets to rank the Evija definitively against the Nevera or Lucid.
Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package: the documented usability choice
Porsche’s UK figures give the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package 2.2 seconds from 0–62 mph, 1,034 PS, a 190 mph top speed and a 342–345-mile combined range. The technical sheet separately lists 2.1 seconds from 0–60 mph with launch control and 2.2 seconds from 0–100 km/h. Keeping those measurements separate avoids treating 0–60 mph and 0–62 mph as identical tests.
The UK starting price is £189,000 including VAT. That is a UK figure and should be read as a market-specific starting point, not a globally comparable transaction price. Porsche also states an eight-year or 100,000-mile high-voltage battery guarantee with capacity thresholds. The cited material does not give the threshold percentages, so a buyer should request the complete warranty wording before purchase.

Why choose the Taycan Turbo GT
- You want a high-performance EV with a substantial published range rather than a two-seat hypercar format.
- You prefer a manufacturer that publishes both headline acceleration and a detailed battery guarantee.
- You need to evaluate a car through a more conventional dealer and warranty framework, subject to local availability.
What to verify
Confirm whether the Weissach specification changes seating, luggage capacity, equipment or range for your market. Obtain the written battery-capacity conditions, charging specifications and service intervals; the headline guarantee alone does not describe every exclusion.
Maserati GranTurismo Folgore: four-seat electric grand touring
The GranTurismo Folgore is the clear choice when four-seat grand touring is more important than matching a two-seat hypercar’s launch figures. Maserati publishes 2.7 seconds from 0–62 mph, a 202 mph top speed and up to 280 miles on one charge.
Maserati also claims that the car can add 62 miles in five minutes under its stated charging conditions. That is a conditional charging claim, not a promise that every charger, battery state, temperature or electrical installation will deliver the same result. Confirm the required charger output and the measurement method in the market where the car will be used.
Why choose the GranTurismo Folgore
- You need four seats and a grand-tourer format.
- You want a 202 mph electric car without moving to a two-seat hypercar.
- Rapid charging during long journeys is more valuable than an absolute record for acceleration.
Which alternative is actually faster?
On the published numbers alone, the Nevera has the quickest stated 0–60 mph time and the highest stated top speed in this group. The Air Sapphire is close on launch acceleration and has the highest published top speed among the practical sedan-style choices. The Porsche figure is especially strong when measured on its own 0–60 mph launch-control test, while the Maserati trades some launch pace for four-seat touring ability.
That ranking is not a controlled head-to-head test. The cars use different tyres, battery states, launch procedures, temperatures, surfaces and definitions. A 0–60 mph claim should not be placed in the same column as a 0–62 mph claim without labeling the difference, and Lotus’s simulated targets should not be ranked as if they were measured results.

The Roadster itself cannot be declared slower or faster on the evidence available here because an independently verified production specification and test result are not established. It is more accurate to call the Nevera the strongest documented benchmark in this set than to claim a definitive victory over a delivered Roadster.
Which car is easiest to use every day?
Best for range-focused daily use: Lucid Air Sapphire
The 427-mile EPA-estimated range gives the Lucid the clearest long-distance usability case. Its sedan format also makes it a more natural daily vehicle than a two-seat hypercar, although buyers should still check local service and charging arrangements.
Best for a documented performance-and-warranty balance: Porsche Taycan Turbo GT
The Taycan combines a 342–345-mile combined range with a published battery guarantee and a detailed acceleration specification. Its UK price and warranty are market-specific, so the same conclusion should not be transferred automatically to another country.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Best for four-seat grand touring: Maserati GranTurismo Folgore
The Maserati is the only model in this comparison explicitly described as a four-seat grand tourer. Its range and five-minute charging claim make it relevant to touring, provided the required charging conditions are available.
Best for uncompromising two-seat performance: Rimac Nevera
The Nevera’s two-seat body, four individually driven wheels and 1.74-second manufacturer 0–60 mph specification make its priorities unambiguous: maximum electric hypercar performance rather than family practicality.
How to choose one without being misled by headline numbers
- Decide what “fast” means for you. Choose launch acceleration, top speed, repeated track performance, overtaking response or long-distance average speed before comparing cars.
- Normalize the measurement. Record whether each claim is 0–60 mph, 0–62 mph, a launch-control run, a quarter-mile result, an EPA estimate or a manufacturer target.
- Match the body to your passengers. The Nevera is explicitly two-seat, the Lucid is a luxury sedan, and the Maserati is explicitly four-seat. Seating for the other models is not established in the cited material and should be confirmed.
- Check usable range rather than the largest number. Confirm the test cycle, wheel and tyre configuration, temperature assumptions and charging infrastructure available on your routes.
- Separate a purchase price from a marketing headline. The Lucid price is a fully equipped US figure before taxes and fees; the Porsche figure is a UK starting price including VAT. They are not like-for-like global prices.
- Ask for written ownership terms. Obtain battery warranty conditions, capacity thresholds, service locations, roadside assistance, parts support and delivery terms. Only the Porsche material cited here specifies an eight-year/100,000-mile battery guarantee, and even its threshold percentages are not included.
- Verify production status and final specifications. Lotus identifies its figures as simulation-based targets, while the Battista material does not provide a complete comparison table. Request the final homologated data for the exact car you can buy.
- Arrange an appropriate evaluation. A launch test, a motorway journey, a charging stop and a passenger/luggage check answer different questions. Do not let one acceleration run stand in for the whole ownership decision.
