The Aston Martin Valhalla pairs manufacturer-claimed hypercar performance with a striking practical drawback: reviewers say it has no trunk or luggage compartment. The suitcase line is a joke with a serious point. The available sources do not establish a luggage volume or show that any particular bag will fit.
Does the Aston Martin Valhalla have luggage space?
Car and Driver says the Valhalla has “no trunk or a luggage compartment of any kind,” while Top Gear identifies the lack of luggage space as a drawback to usability. Taken together, those reviews support a straightforward conclusion: this is not a car to choose for carrying suitcases.
Neither those reviews nor Aston Martin’s model page provide a luggage-capacity figure. There is no verified volume, suitcase size or alternative storage location to cite, so it would be misleading to promise that a particular bag can be carried. Car and Driver’s review and Top Gear’s review describe the limitation; they do not establish a workaround.
What makes the Valhalla a phenomenal supercar?
Aston Martin calls the Valhalla its first mid-engine plug-in hybrid supercar. Its powertrain combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors. The manufacturer lists 1,079 PS of combined power, a 0–100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds and a maximum speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). These are Aston Martin’s published figures, not independent test results. Aston Martin’s model page gives the current specifications.

In its 11 December 2024 announcement, Aston Martin also quoted 1,100 Nm of torque and described a planned 999-car production limit. The current model page still says the Valhalla is limited to 999 units. The announcement said production was due to start in Q2 2025; that stated target does not verify whether production or deliveries have since begun. Aston Martin’s December 2024 announcement contains the original target and specifications.

When Aston Martin announced the car, then-CEO Adrian Hallmark said it would be “as useable and enjoyable as any Aston Martin” on the road. That is the manufacturer’s positioning. It does not demonstrate luggage practicality, and the reviews’ criticism of the missing luggage compartment gives the claim an important boundary: road use and everyday cargo capacity are not the same thing.
Rank #2
- Scale: Beautifully designed at a 1:18 scale, ensuring each detail is precisely represented, making it perfect for both display and play.
- Color: The sleek silver finish not only complements the futuristic design but also enhances its visual appeal, making it a standout piece in any collection.
- Material: Constructed with high-quality die-cast materials that guarantee durability, ensuring your model withstands the test of time and becomes a cherished part of your automotive history.
- Officially Licensed: Authenticity is guaranteed as an officially licensed product, giving you confidence in your purchase.
The Valhalla’s appeal is clear if the priority is its hybrid powertrain and extraordinary published performance. If carrying luggage is part of the brief, the available evidence offers no basis for treating it as a practical travel car. The title’s suitcase joke lands because the performance figures are real manufacturer claims, while the missing compartment is a concrete limitation reported by independent reviewers.
