The redesigned Kia Telluride is a 2027 model, not a redesigned 2026. Kia unveiled it on November 20, 2025, with a first-ever Telluride hybrid, a turbocharged gas option, a larger cabin and cargo area, and upgraded X-Pro equipment. The specifications and efficiency figures below are Kia-reported, not independent test results.
What’s new on the redesigned Kia Telluride?
Kia says the next-generation Telluride grows in size, adds room for passengers and cargo, and updates its technology and capability equipment. Its November 2025 announcement describes more second-row headroom, easier access to the third row, and more cargo space behind the third row. Those are manufacturer-reported changes; actual space and comfort are best judged in person.
The lineup pairs a 2.5-liter turbocharged gas engine with a new hybrid powertrain. Kia’s announced hybrid specification combines a 2.5-liter turbo engine, electric motors and a 1.65-kWh battery, for a manufacturer-rated 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque. Equipment and availability vary by trim. Kia’s November 20, 2025 debut announcement also highlights added X-Pro capability.
X-Pro and X-Line equipment
Kia says the X-Pro configuration includes 9.1 inches of ground clearance, all-terrain tires, an electronic limited-slip differential, and multi-terrain and AWD features. These are manufacturer specifications, and equipment differs by trim. X-Line and X-Pro designations indicate different trim and equipment choices; check the build for the specific vehicle rather than assuming every feature is included across either group.

Is there a 2026 Kia Telluride?
The redesign covered here was launched as the 2027 Kia Telluride. Kia unveiled it at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20, 2025. So a reference to a “2026 Kia Telluride” as the redesigned model uses the wrong model year; this article does not describe a redesigned 2026.
How much does the 2027 Kia Telluride cost?
Kia’s current U.S. pages list the gas Telluride starting at $39,190 and the hybrid starting at $46,490. These are starting MSRPs, not out-the-door prices. The gas starting price is for the LX FWD and excludes a $1,545 destination charge in Kia’s January 8, 2026 pricing announcement. Taxes, options, dealer fees and dealer-set pricing can change what a buyer pays.

Yes. The redesigned 2027 Telluride is the first Telluride offered with a hybrid powertrain, alongside the turbocharged gas model. Kia’s February 26, 2026 hybrid pricing announcement gives the EX FWD an EPA-estimated 35 mpg combined and an estimated total range of 637 miles. Both figures are Kia-reported estimates for that configuration; they should not be applied to every hybrid trim or treated as independent road-test results.

What should buyers compare before choosing a trim?
- Powertrain: Compare the turbo gas and hybrid versions based on the price and equipment of the specific trims under consideration. The published 35-mpg combined estimate applies to the hybrid EX FWD, not the entire range.
- Drive configuration: The gas entry trim is LX FWD, while Kia’s listed gas range tops out at X-Pro SXP AWD. Confirm FWD or AWD availability for the trim you want.
- Cabin and cargo use: Kia describes more second-row headroom, improved third-row access and additional cargo space behind the third row. Bring the people, child seats or luggage you routinely carry to assess fit.
- Terrain and equipment: Consider X-Pro’s stated ground clearance, all-terrain tires and AWD-related equipment if your use calls for them. Verify which features are included on the exact trim.
- Final price and accessories: Compare MSRPs on the same basis, then account for destination, options and dealer charges. Kia says roof-rail crossbars and rack attachments are sold separately; confirm the specific accessory’s model-year, trim and rail compatibility before buying.
