The 2025 Toyota Prius Nightshade is an XLE-based grade with black exterior accents and a dark interior treatment, but its paint choices are not all black: Toyota lists Karashi, Midnight Black Metallic and Wind Chill Pearl. Karashi is the Nightshade-exclusive color. “Nightshade” describes the styling, not a monochrome-only paint scheme.
Which colors are available on the 2025 Prius Nightshade?
Toyota names three exterior colors for the Nightshade:
- Karashi: exclusive to the Nightshade grade.
- Midnight Black Metallic.
- Wind Chill Pearl.
Toyota lists seven colors across the broader 2025 Prius lineup: Wind Chill Pearl, Cutting Edge, Guardian Gray, Midnight Black Metallic, Supersonic Red, Reservoir Blue and Karashi. That is the lineup-wide palette, not the Nightshade’s color list; Toyota identifies Karashi as exclusive to Nightshade. Toyota’s January 7, 2025 announcement does not establish current dealer availability for any particular color.
What makes the Nightshade different from the XLE?
Toyota describes the 2025 Nightshade as based on the XLE, with its distinction centered on dark styling details and interior trim rather than a different paint rule. Its factory features include:
