Acura announced the refresh on April 9, 2024; its launch pricing and dealer-arrival dates are historical, not current market guidance.
What changed on the 2025 Acura MDX?
Acura’s refresh combines lineup-wide exterior and infotainment updates with equipment that varies across grades. The redesigned front fascia and open-frame Diamond Pentagon grille appear on all 2025 MDX models. So does the 12.3-inch touchscreen interface with Google built-in, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, according to Acura’s April 9, 2024 announcement.
By contrast, the noise-reduction package, audio system, comfort features and some driver-assistance technologies are tied to named trims or packages. The Type S also retains a distinct exterior treatment and a manufacturer-rated turbocharged V6.
What is new on the MDX exterior?
Acura says every 2025 MDX gets a redesigned front fascia and an open-frame version of its Diamond Pentagon grille, with a new mesh pattern. The headlights and taillights are darker in appearance. Canyon River Blue Metallic and Urban Gray Pearl join the available paint choices; availability depends on trim.

Trim-specific styling
- A-Spec: Sport-oriented exterior details and its own wheel design.

- Other grades: Acura describes revised wheel designs on specified trims, rather than a single new wheel shared across the lineup.
What changed inside the 2025 MDX?
The major cabin update is the 12.3-inch touchscreen interface, standard across the lineup according to Acura. Google built-in brings Google services into the vehicle’s infotainment system; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard. Specific Google features and service availability may depend on connectivity and account requirements.
Acura also replaced the former touchpad-based center-console arrangement with a redesigned console. The company says the new layout increases storage and improves access to the wireless charging pad.

Comfort equipment depends on configuration
Massaging front seats and curvilinear-quilted leather are identified for Advance and A-Spec with Advance configurations, not for every MDX. The Type S with Advance Package adds further premium equipment, but Acura’s announcement does not establish those details as lineup-wide features.
Which trims get quieter cabins and Bang & Olufsen audio?
Acura says models with the Technology Package, Advance Package and A-Spec receive upgraded front and rear fender liners, additional door insulation and laminated rear-door glass. The company attributes an approximately 10% reduction in road noise to these changes. That is Acura’s claim for the specified configurations, not an independent measurement or a promise that every 2025 MDX is quieter by that amount.

What safety and performance updates does Acura list?
Acura says other MDX grades receive updated AcuraWatch hardware. The Type S with Advance Package adds AcuraWatch 360 features, including Front Cross Traffic Warning, Lane Change Collision Mitigation and Active Lane Change Assist. These are driver-assistance systems, not substitutes for attentive driving, and the cited features are specific to that package.
The Type S uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 rated by Acura at 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Those are published manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

When did the refreshed MDX arrive, and what was its launch price?
Acura said the 2025 MDX began arriving at U.S. dealers in May 2024, with a starting MSRP of $50,900 excluding destination and handling. That figure is the manufacturer’s announced launch price from 2024; it is not a current quote or an estimate of today’s transaction price. The announcements do not establish current inventory or pricing.
How should you compare MDX trims?
For a trim decision, check the specific vehicle’s configuration against the features that matter to you. Acura’s announcements establish equipment differences, but do not provide current prices or enough information for a present-day value comparison.
