For a U.S. commuter, compare the 157cc PCX and ADV160; for a small, simple city scooter, consider the 49cc Metropolitan or Ruckus. Honda’s European 2025 model-year lineup adds options such as the SH350i and Forza models, while the X-ADV is a much larger crossover. These ten picks span different markets and model years—not ten scooters confirmed for sale in every country.
How to read this list
Honda’s U.S. catalog lists four scooters: ADV160, PCX, Ruckus and Metropolitan. To make a useful list of ten without implying they are all available in the United States, this guide also includes European models named in Honda’s 2025 model-year communication and the X-ADV described by Honda Japan in 2026. Honda says availability varies by country; check your regional Honda site or an authorized local distributor for current model names, specifications, prices and stock.
The recommendations below are based on the stated equipment and intended use, not independent road tests. A model-year announcement is not proof that a scooter is currently offered in every market.

| Honda SH350i (Europe; 2025 design update announced) | A larger SH-family scooter | Honda calls it the SH range-topper; announced updates include a split-beam LED headlight, four new colors and a larger illuminated glovebox |

| Honda Forza 350 (Europe; 2025 model-year lineup) | Mid-size touring use | Named in Honda’s European lineup; a local comparison with the ADV350 and SH350i should account for wind protection, storage and highway suitability |
| Honda X-ADV (Japan/selected markets; Honda Japan figures from 2026) | Scooter ergonomics with larger-bike performance | 745cc parallel twin, six-speed DCT, 43 kW (58 PS) at 6,750 rpm, 69 N·m at 4,750 rpm and 237 kg |
For the European models, Honda’s 2024 25YM communication said the range met Euro 5+ regulations. That dated statement should not be treated as confirmation of a particular country’s current lineup or a later model’s specifications.

1. Honda ADV160: for a commute that may include rough pavement
The ADV160 combines a 157cc liquid-cooled single with automatic V-Matic transmission. Honda lists front-wheel ABS and Smart Key, while the adventure styling and stated rough-road confidence make it the more adventure-oriented U.S. choice alongside the PCX. The information available here does not establish suspension travel or a direct road-performance advantage over the PCX.
2. Honda PCX: for everyday commuting
The U.S. PCX pairs a 157cc liquid-cooled single with V-Matic belt drive, front ABS, underseat storage and a 30.1-inch seat. Honda describes the automatic transmission as requiring no shifting. American Honda’s 2025 pricing was $4,249 base MSRP and $4,849 total MSRP; those are U.S. figures for that model year, not a current quote for another year or market.

3. Honda Ruckus: for minimal-bodywork urban style
The Ruckus is a 49cc automatic scooter with fat tires and a 28.8-inch seat. It is a candidate for riders who value its distinctive, stripped-back look and simple urban role. Storage capacity, braking details and current price are not stated here, so check the local specification sheet before comparing it with the Metropolitan.
4. Honda Metropolitan: for a small city scooter with underseat storage
The Metropolitan has a 49cc liquid-cooled single, V-Matic belt drive, combined braking, underseat storage and a 28.3-inch seat. American Honda listed its 2025 U.S. base MSRP at $2,649 and total MSRP at $2,949. It is the least expensive of the two U.S. scooters in this list with disclosed 2025 prices; that does not establish the cheapest Honda scooter globally or the current price at a dealer.

5. Honda PCX125: a European PCX option
Honda included the PCX125 in its European 2025 model-year communication and called it one of Europe’s leading scooters. The U.S. PCX specifications above should not be assumed to apply to the PCX125 in every country. Check the regional page for the local version’s equipment, price and availability.
6. Honda SH350i: the larger SH-family choice
Honda described the SH350i as the range-topper of the SH family and announced a 2025 design update with a split-beam LED headlight, four new colors and a larger illuminated glovebox. It is a candidate for riders looking for a larger adventure-style scooter than the ADV160, but the available information does not establish its current regional suspension, electronics, price or performance. Verify those details with Honda in your country.
8. Honda Forza 125: compact touring orientation
Honda named the Forza 125 in its European 2025 model-year lineup and characterized it as compact and touring-oriented. The details here do not establish local equipment or price, and the model name alone is not enough to compare wind protection or storage with another Forza.

10. Honda X-ADV: scooter ergonomics, larger-bike performance
Honda Japan’s 2026 figures describe a 745cc parallel twin with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), producing 43 kW (58 PS) at 6,750 rpm and 69 N·m at 4,750 rpm. Honda lists vehicle weight at 237 kg. This is a substantially different kind of choice from the 49cc and 157cc scooters in the U.S. lineup. The figures are Honda Japan’s; local availability and specifications may differ.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which Honda scooter should you choose?
- For a U.S. commute: Start with the PCX if underseat storage and a 30.1-inch seat suit you; consider the ADV160 if the rough-road-oriented setup better fits your routes.
- For a small-displacement U.S. city scooter: Compare the Metropolitan’s stated storage and combined braking with the Ruckus’s fat tires and distinctive styling. Check local prices and full specifications before deciding.
- For a European-market scooter: Confirm which 2025 model-year options remain on sale in your country, then compare current regional specifications rather than relying on U.S. versions.
- For a larger crossover: Consider the X-ADV only if its size, weight and motorcycle-like performance fit your needs; it is not a direct substitute for a small urban scooter.
What to check before buying
Seat height, storage, braking equipment, passenger provisions, wind protection, suspension and highway suitability can vary by model year and market. The listed information does not supply comparable figures for all ten scooters, so use the local Honda specification sheet and arrange a dealer check or test ride where available. Confirm that the model is sold in your country and ask for an itemized price for the exact model year.
