Tesla delivered 384,122 vehicles in the second quarter of 2025, down 13.5% from 443,956 in the same quarter a year earlier—a decline commonly rounded to 14%. The drop is year over year: deliveries were higher than in the first quarter of 2025.
How many vehicles did Tesla deliver in Q2 2025?
Tesla reported 384,122 vehicle deliveries for April through June 2025. The comparable figure for Q2 2024 was 443,956, making the year-over-year decrease 59,834 vehicles, or 13.5%. Reuters reported the percentage decline; Tesla’s update deck displays the change rounded to 13%, while the 14% headline rounds the more precise 13.5% figure.
These are Tesla-reported delivery counts, not a separate measure of revenue, profitability or market share.
Were deliveries down from the previous quarter?
No. Tesla delivered 336,681 vehicles in Q1 2025 and 384,122 in Q2, an increase of 47,441 vehicles from one quarter to the next. That sequential rise does not change the year-over-year comparison: Q2 2025 remained below Q2 2024.

How did deliveries compare with production?
Tesla reported producing 410,244 vehicles in Q2 2025, which was 26,122 more than it delivered. Production and deliveries are distinct operating measures; the difference does not, by itself, establish why the vehicles were not delivered during that quarter.
Tesla’s update deck also reported 24 days of global vehicle inventory for Q2 2025. That is the company’s inventory-days measure, not a count of vehicles.

Which Tesla models accounted for the deliveries?
The company grouped deliveries into two categories rather than publishing separate Model 3 and Model Y counts in this table.

What was reported about the decline’s causes?
Reuters cited intense competition, backlash to CEO Elon Musk’s political stance and an aging vehicle lineup as factors weighing on global demand. Those are reported explanations, not a quantified breakdown from Tesla or proof that any one factor caused the full decline.
A contemporaneous market report also said Tesla’s 384,122 deliveries fell short of an analyst consensus of about 390,000 vehicles. That estimate was the consensus available at the time, not a Tesla-reported target or result.

Do the delivery figures show Tesla’s financial results?
No. Tesla cautioned in its July 2, 2025 filing that deliveries and energy-storage deployments are only two measures of company performance and should not alone be relied on as indicators of quarterly financial results. The company said results also depend on factors including average selling price, cost of sales and foreign-exchange movements. Its delivery announcement was not the quarterly earnings report.
