The available reporting does not establish that Tesla planned to sell it or produce it at scale.
What was the Cybertruck-inspired factory cart?
On December 4, 2023, Futurism reported on a golf-cart-sized buggy shown in a Carwow factory-tour video. The report described it as a vehicle that could carry up to six people around the factory. It was presented as a workplace people carrier, not as a road vehicle or consumer product.
“Cybercart” is an informal label used in coverage; the sources do not show Tesla officially naming the vehicle or announcing it as a product.
How did it resemble the Cybertruck?
Futurism described angular stainless-steel panels inspired by the Cybertruck and a lightbar across the front. Those are reported visual details, not Tesla-published specifications. The sources do not establish the cart’s materials, performance, dimensions, or technical features.

The Carwow video included the joking remark, “Don’t think it has the steer by wire or the rear axle steering,” referring to Cybertruck features. That line is a joke, not a verified assessment of the cart’s equipment.
Was the cart announced at the Cybertruck delivery event?
No. Tesla’s November 28, 2023 announcement set the Cybertruck delivery event for November 30 at its Austin headquarters and said the event would include Cybertruck details. It did not mention a factory cart. Tesla’s event announcement establishes the timing and context, not the cart’s identity or status.

Can you buy one, or is it going into production?
The available report does not establish retail availability, a production plan, or a price. It describes a vehicle seen in a factory setting; it does not provide a basis for treating the cart as a purchasable Tesla model.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Tesla’s Cybercab the same vehicle?
No evidence connects the reported 2023 cart to Tesla’s later Cybercab reference. A Tesla investor-relations presentation dated July 22, 2026, labels a section “CYBERCAB – AUTONOMOUS RIDES FOR EMPLOYEES AT GIGAFACTORY TEXAS.” That is a separate employee-ride reference, not proof that the earlier cart became a production vehicle. Tesla’s Q2 2026 update presentation provides the Cybercab wording.
