Tesla’s planned Roadster event has been postponed again. TechCrunch reported on September 28, 2026, that Tesla moved the event from October 1 to October 15 in Waco, Texas, citing forecast severe weather and the event’s outdoor-only format. As of October 8, the October 15 event is still in the future; the available reports do not establish whether it will happen or announce a production or delivery date.
What is the latest Tesla Roadster schedule?
The latest reported date is October 15, 2026, for a Tesla event in Waco, Texas. TechCrunch said Tesla attributed the move from October 1 to forecast severe weather and the fact that the event could only be held outdoors. That explanation is Tesla’s, as reported by TechCrunch; it is not independent confirmation of the forecast.
The October 15 date is a scheduled event, not confirmation that the event took place. As of October 8, it has not yet occurred, and the reviewed reporting does not establish what Tesla will show or whether the date will hold.
How did the reveal date keep moving?
Tesla first showed a concept of the second-generation Roadster in 2017. The proposed car has since faced repeated delays and shifting reveal targets.

That is an estimate about the time after a reveal, not a firm start-of-production or customer-delivery schedule.
What performance has Tesla advertised?
