Auto Express describes the Swift as one of the UK’s ten cheapest cars, but the ranking is a dated comparison—not a permanent position in the market.
How much does the Suzuki Swift cost now?
Suzuki Cars UK lists the Swift Motion from £16,499 and the Swift Ultra from £17,599. Both prices include a £3,500 customer saving and are part of the offer running from 1 October to 31 December 2026. The advertised figures are starting prices: confirm the exact grade, options and on-the-road total with a participating dealer.
The offer is for UK private retail customers who purchase and register through participating dealers during the offer period. Suzuki says offers are subject to availability and may be changed or withdrawn. Its listed retail offer excludes Channel Islands and Isle of Man dealers.
Is the Swift one of the UK’s cheapest new cars?
Auto Express reported on 1 October 2026 that the Swift was again among the UK’s ten cheapest cars. In its comparison, it said the Swift costs less than a Kia Picanto or MG3. The Dacia Sandero starts lower at £14,359 through Auto Express Buy A Car; that is the price cited for that buying service, not a universal dealer price.

Treat “among the ten cheapest” as Auto Express’s assessment at the time of publication. Prices, offers and the cars included in a comparison can change, so the label is not a guarantee that the Swift will remain in the same position or be the cheapest choice for every buyer.
What other Suzuki prices have been cut?
Suzuki is advertising customer savings on several models, while the e Vitara is presented differently. The prices below are Suzuki’s advertised UK starting prices; the e Vitara’s permanent reduction is described as permanent by Auto Express.

The Swift, Vitara and S-Cross prices are customer-saving offers, not evidence of permanent price reductions across Suzuki’s range. Suzuki advises checking current availability and terms with a dealer.
What do you get with the Swift?
The current Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol mild-hybrid system. Suzuki says the mild hybrid is self-charging and does not need to be plugged in. Manual and CVT automatic gearboxes are offered; ALLGRIP Auto four-wheel drive is available on selected Ultra variants.

Suzuki quotes fuel consumption of up to 64.2mpg on the WLTP combined cycle. This is a manufacturer-published figure, not a real-world test result or a promise of the mileage every driver will achieve. The boot holds 265 litres, or 589 litres with the rear seats folded.
What should you check before accepting a Swift offer?
- Eligibility and timing: Confirm that you qualify as a UK private retail customer and that purchase and registration can be completed through a participating dealer by 31 December 2026.
- Car and dealer availability: Ask whether the specific grade and vehicle are in stock, and whether the offer remains available. Suzuki says it may amend or withdraw offers.
- Final on-the-road price: Get a written total for the car you want, including any options or charges. Compare like-for-like cash prices rather than relying only on a headline starting price.
- Finance total: If considering PCP, compare the deposit, term, annual mileage allowance, APR, monthly payments, fees, optional final payment and total payable—not just the monthly figure.
How does Suzuki’s Swift PCP offer work?
Suzuki’s Swift offer page displays representative PCP examples at 8.9% APR over 49 months, based on 8,000 miles a year. Deposits, monthly payments and optional final payments vary by grade, so use the example for the exact version you are considering and check the full agreement.

At the end of a PCP agreement, the customer can return the car, pay the optional final repayment to own it, or part-exchange it subject to settlement. Mileage and vehicle-condition rules apply. A low monthly payment alone does not show the total cost of acquiring the car.
