Jarrod “Jack” Frost reportedly rode a heavily modified Suzuki Hayabusa to 274.926 mph at Elvington Airfield in England on 15 August 2023, in a standing-mile motorcycle run. The speed surpassed the 270.965 mph mark attributed to Guy Martin, but the sources differ on whether Frost’s result should be called a British and European record or a world record.
What the 274.926 mph figure represents
Gazzetta Motori reports Frost’s 274.926 mph pass at Elvington in August 2023 and describes it as a British and European standing-mile motorcycle record, about 3 mph short of the world record at the time. PLEX Tuning’s 2025 account gives the run date as 15 August 2023 and repeats the same mph figure, but calls it a world record in the standing-mile motorcycle category.
Those accounts agree on the reported speed and the standing-mile context, but they do not establish the same record status. No event timing sheet or record-keeping authority documentation is available in these accounts to independently verify the timing procedure or resolve the category. It is therefore more precise to call this a reported 274.926 mph standing-mile result, while attributing any record label to the source using it.

PLEX’s account prints a kilometre-per-hour conversion alongside Frost’s mph figure that conflicts with Gazzetta Motori’s conversion. The reported mph figure is consistent between the two accounts; the conversion should not be treated as settled without an authoritative timing record.

This was not a showroom Hayabusa top-speed test
The bike was a purpose-built, turbocharged race machine. Neither account supports using its result as a measure of what a production Hayabusa can achieve.
Reported engine and drivetrain work
Gazzetta Motori describes an extensively rebuilt engine that retained the original intake system and bore, with CP pistons, titanium valve retainers, Inconel valves, a strengthened Nova Transmissions gearbox, and LifeRacing/Syvecs engine management. It also lists bespoke Holeshot fuel, charge-cooling, wiring and exhaust-manifold components, plus Turbosmart fuel-pressure and wastegate equipment.

PLEX Tuning describes the machine as a 1,340cc turbocharged Hayabusa producing more than 800 horsepower. Its vendor case study lists Carrillo connecting rods, CP pistons, Kent Performance camshafts, a custom AET turbocharger, a Holeshot Racing manifold and fuel and charge-cooler systems, a Nova billet gearbox, and LifeRacing/Syvecs engine management. These are source-reported specifications, not independently verified measurements of the bike.
Reported chassis and supporting parts
PLEX also lists Brembo brakes, Öhlins suspension, BST carbon wheels and a reinforced swingarm. Gazzetta Motori independently names BST carbon wheels among its reported components. Together, the accounts describe a specialized build rather than a stock motorcycle with a simple power upgrade.

The logger associated with the run
PLEX says a PLEX SDM-550 GPS dash display and logger was installed in the cockpit to show information in real time and log data. Frost is quoted by PLEX as saying, “With the SDM-550, I knew exactly what the bike was doing at every moment.” That vendor-published quote concerns the instrument’s use; it does not independently establish the speed or the record category.
The available account does not establish current retail availability, compatibility for ordinary Hayabusa owners or that the logger caused the result. Its presence is a detail about this build, not a general recommendation.
