The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 is shaping up to be a larger, twin-cylinder adventure-tourer with more highway-oriented equipment than the Himalayan 450. Public prototypes point to a near-750cc parallel twin, a substantial fairing, cruise-control hardware and adjustable suspension. Those are prototype observations and press expectations—not a final production specification. Royal Enfield has not yet published the 750’s output, price or complete equipment list.
What is known about the Himalayan 750 so far?
There have been two notable public milestones: Autocar India reported that a working twin-cylinder Himalayan prototype appeared at EICMA 2025, and India Today reported that a pre-production example was displayed at Royal Enfield’s Himalayan Base Camp event in Ladakh in September 2026. The displayed bike provides clues about the direction of the project, but it is not a retail specification sheet.
Royal Enfield has reportedly confirmed that a production version will be showcased at EICMA 2026, with a launch expected shortly after. India Today has reported an India launch expectation of Q1 2027. These are reported plans and forecasts, not a confirmed on-sale date; timing and availability may differ by market. 10 things to expect from the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750
1. A position above the Himalayan 450
The 750 is expected to sit in a larger-capacity class than the Himalayan 450, giving Royal Enfield a more powerful option for riders who want an adventure-style motorcycle with greater touring potential. The 450 remains the relevant point of comparison for the brand’s current single-cylinder Himalayan, but the 750’s final role and specifications have not been formally detailed.

2. A parallel twin close to 750cc
Reports describe a parallel-twin engine close to 750cc, with basic architecture understood to be related to Royal Enfield’s existing 650 twin. That is a reported understanding, not a confirmed technical specification. Exact displacement, cooling arrangement, gearing and other engine details have not been published.
3. More output than the 650 twin—but no confirmed figures
Press estimates suggest the Himalayan 750 could make around 50–55bhp and 60–65Nm, but those numbers are forecasts, not Royal Enfield figures. Autocar India also frames the expectation as output above the Bear 650’s reported 47.4hp and 56.5Nm; those Bear figures belong to that model, not the Himalayan 750. Until official specifications and road tests are available, treat any 750 output claim as unverified. (Autocar India; India Today)

4. Larger, more touring-focused bodywork
The Ladakh display bike was described with a larger front fairing, bigger tank extensions and a taller windscreen than the Himalayan 450. These proportions suggest more attention to wind protection and distance riding, though comfort and actual protection can only be judged on the production motorcycle.
5. A road-biased wheel setup may be one configuration
The displayed motorcycle reportedly used 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with dual-purpose tyres. Other test sightings showed cross-spoke wheels. That could indicate different configurations or variants, but Royal Enfield has not confirmed a wheel choice, tyre specification or variant range. The wheel and tyre package will matter to buyers balancing paved-road handling against off-road use.

6. Cruise control is a strong possibility
Dedicated cruise-control controls were visible on the prototype, making the feature one of the clearest touring-oriented clues. Its final inclusion—and whether it would be standard, optional or limited to particular variants—remains unconfirmed.
7. Traction control is indicated; riding modes are less certain
Prototype coverage reported a traction-control switch. A separate button marked “M” was interpreted as a possible riding-mode control, but that label alone does not confirm modes or what they would change. The production bike’s electronic-aid list and trim availability are still unknown.

8. The shown suspension offers adjustability
Reports describe inverted front forks and adjustable front and rear suspension on the displayed motorcycle. One account identifies a Showa-branded fork and a rear preload adjuster. These are observations of a pre-production bike; the parts, adjustability and trim differences on sale could change. India Today also reported a dedicated frame and swingarm with a monoshock, but final chassis specifications remain to be announced. (India Today; Autocar India)
9. A two-into-one exhaust appears likely
Prototype reports describe a two-into-one exhaust arrangement similar to the Bear 650, with an upswept muffler. The final exhaust may differ. 10. A long-distance adventure-tourer, not necessarily a harder-core off-roader
The larger fairing, reported 19/17-inch wheel setup and touring controls point toward a Himalayan intended to cover distance as well as unpaved roads. That is an inference from the prototype, not an official positioning statement. Wheel options, tyres, ground clearance, suspension travel and the finished bike’s weight will determine how confidently it handles rough terrain.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How it may differ from the Himalayan 450
Royal Enfield’s official 2024 release for the Himalayan 450 with spoked tubeless wheels describes ride-by-wire, four riding modes and the TripperDash TFT with navigation. That established equipment is useful context, but it does not confirm the 750’s electronics or imply that the two models will share equipment. (Royal Enfield, 2024)
The clearest expected distinction is the 750’s larger twin-cylinder engine and more substantial touring-oriented prototype. A meaningful buying comparison will need the production bikes’ verified specifications and, especially, real-world assessments of comfort, loaded performance and off-road behaviour.
What is still unconfirmed—and what to check before buying
No confirmed Himalayan 750 price or final specification is established in the cited coverage. It also does not establish the production bike’s wet weight, seat height, tank capacity, range, braking performance, final power and torque, or standard-versus-optional equipment. A pre-production display cannot settle those questions.

- Engine: Confirm displacement, official power and torque, cooling, gearing and performance figures.
- Touring and ergonomics: Look for production details on wind protection, seat comfort, passenger space, payload and fuel capacity.
- Wheels and off-road use: Check which wheel and tyre combinations will be offered, and assess the production bike’s actual off-road suitability rather than inferring it from styling.
- Suspension and electronics: Verify which adjustments and electronic aids are fitted to each variant.
- Price and timing: Wait for official market-specific pricing and on-sale information; Indian timing reports do not establish availability elsewhere.
- Luggage: A test mule has been photographed with hard panniers, but that does not establish production-bike fitment. Confirm rack, subframe and mounting compatibility before buying luggage. (Autocar India, 11 May 2026)
